Husbands buying flowers?!

I want to know how often your husbands get your flowers?
me and my husband have had the conversation that he should make more effort with romantic gestures. Even buying cheap reduced flowers every now and again to me it’s the thought that counts.
Before anyone states do I buy him gifts, YES all the time when I go out I always get him something I know he likes, a chocolate bar or his favourite thing. But I never get it in return which I find quite upsetting and he knows this. So AIBU to want flowers or a chocolate every now and again?

It's thinking about each other that's important. Whether it's a kit kat, flowers, wine or just your gluten free bread.

I should add it works both ways. I find him books by his favourite authors, when I notice he's nearly finished one I buy him a couple more. Sometimes new, sometimes second hand. Shopping his favourite cheese and crackers, pork pie.

Anytime I go literally anywhere I pick him something up wether it’s something he needs, something I know he wants or something I just know he likes.

He used to buy stupidly expensive flower arrangements and I was annoyed by the expense. Told him not to waste so much money,he now never does,so I now buy myself flowers ie tulips, daffodils etc

no flowers really other than birthday and valentines despite me buying him little and often silly or thoughtful random gifts year round. But thats one of my ways of showing my love and appreciation.

he does however cook a two or three course meal from scratch for us every weekend, including bread/flatbreads etc, side dishes.. hummus… all from scratch and dress up for the occasion which I love, and a fancy breakfast every Sunday. What’s not to love. He also cleans up after both.

I buy my own flowers. :)

DH got me some yesterday. No reason for them.
He doesn't buy them for your typical occasions
