All cowering under shops eaves from the rain.

I wanted just to go home after a long day. It's only water FFS.

The way some people react to rain is truly pathetic imo.

My asthma kicks off and my hair goes frizzy!

When my asthma kicks off shall I just think that I shouldn’t be pathetic?!

dustygrey · 08/06/2025 21:14

So what was stopping you from going home?

pillooo · 08/06/2025 23:17

I love rain because the thought of a water shortage fills me with horror.

I work in a School. We have a Lunchtime Supervisor who says ' It's only rain not Acid' everytime it rains. And sends the Children out with their Coats. Bloody annoys me so much!

I avoid going out in the rain, or will take shelter because I'm disabled and easily slip over( like last week!) but it's not that I'm afraid I'll dissolve

Mancunian here so we get a lot. A lot. We just deal with it, it’s a way of life. If I’ve not got a hood, I’ve usually got a brolly for big fat rain. If it’s spitting or light, I just crack on without, because it’s Manchester and we cba whipping a brolly out every time it spits 😂

That being said, I prefer it when we have those rare sunny dry days!

XenoBitch · 09/06/2025 00:48

It does not bother me. My DP though... he acts like he is made of sugar and will melt away.
I remember a sudden summer downpour one year. There was a chap in my local park who was sat on a bench in his T-shirt and shorts. I guess he just admitted defeat as he just sat there and got soaked.

EBearhug · 09/06/2025 01:52

I mainly got my eyes lasered because of glasses when cycling in the rain.

But we have been in great need of rain, so it's a good thing (Bournemouth groundskeepers may not agree.)

It's not just humans who don't want to get wet.

But you can't go home because you're too busy judging other people?

😂
