DS just gave me this picture. I know there is quite a lot of variation but how old do you think is the child who drew this?

You’ve posted this as a boast so people are automatically going to assume the child is really young (you wouldn’t be posting if your child was 7).

There are drawings I’ve seen from 4 year olds that are similar / better. Neither of mine would have been able to draw that at 4. There are children in my DD’s reception class who draw better though.

My five year old draws in a similar style (face, pointy toes in a star shape) so I'll say that. She wasn't putting as many extra details in as this pic at four, maybe a sun or a cloudy at a push.

I'm not sure it's a boast. I have drawings like that that I did from age 3 and I'm not especially talented at art. I am surprised at all the people guessing any age over four or five.

Or alternatively, I guess the child could be much older and OP’s worried about whether they’re developing at a normal rate
