I've been out of the workforce for a few years, but 'checkstep' is a new one for me.

Long waffley answers, lots of 'can you repeat the question?'. She is a pro.

I think she's falling back on prepared / rehearsed answers. He's being pushy but also letting her speak. I find myself getting annoyed and thinking "shut up woman".

Eventually she will run out of bullshit, start to get tired and the pressure will stay on.

One thing she picked up well from her training is to listen carefully to the question posed and if it isn't clear, which is where traps can lie, then to ask for it to be repeated or reframed.

Agree. I think she's playing up amnesia hard and the whole "and the Q is" because she knows he's technique. She can't handle it any other way.
