If I cancel an order on Vinted without buyer's agreement what will happen?

I've sold a lot of stuff on Vinted recently as we are moving house, never had any issues whatsoever and 100% 5 star feedback so far from over 60 or so parcels sent in the past month. All good.

However this evening I uploaded an item that I have instantly regretted listing for the price it's at. It's a baby carrier that retails at £160 and I've listed it for £45. It's in pristine barely used condition. Other similar items are selling for in the region of £60-90, so I think I've made a mistake. It's been instantly snapped up, of course. I'm now full of regret and want to cancel it and relist at a more appropriate price.

However, if I do this, will I get negative feedback? I know they'll be refunded, but does Vinted automatically give me negative feedback, or does it give the buyer the option to do so? I don't want to spoil my 100% perfect reviews on there but I also don't want to let this item go for £45 anymore!

Can anyone advise? Thank you

Gosh I'd forgotten about this thread! It went for £80 within a few hours, lots of interest even at the higher price. The buyer was thrilled and messaged me afterwards to say thank you as it was in perfect condition and such a bargain, and my reviews weren't affected with cancelling the first sale either, so happy ending all round! 😁

I feel sorry for initial buyer..your greed got the best of you. I have had 3 sellers cancel on me and 2 blocked me...its infuriating..i wish buyers could leave negative feedback in this situation. It needs changing. I know its zombie thread but it annoyed me. You got more money and the lols...🤬

Glad you sorted your item out, I also have to check prices as I'm the same, don't know what certain items go for! No wonder it was snapped up.
Can anyone answer this query for me...?
I've only recently started selling stuff on Vinted & it's been good except because the buyer chooses the postal company I'm finding myself going to all these different places (only moved here a short time ago, so don't know where all these shops/collection points are) to post said items. I know there are different postal choices on the site/app, but thought it would be the seller's choice of where to post anything not the buyer. Do I pay the postage if I change the Drop Off point (which I'm happy to do)? Ridiculous as it sounds I just get stressed about it (I'm not well which doesn't help)...
Any info would be appreciated...?
thanks 💐

You need to change the postal settings on your account. Just narrow it down to the one or two options that are easy for you.

Just say your husband said it wasn’t safe for whatever reason and it needs to be thrown. Say you weren’t aware. Something sharp when you press on the padding maybe.

Ridiculous comment. It's hardly greed to want the going rate for my item 🙄 I didn't bump the price up to anything higher than what other similar items were selling at. It's a high value, in demand item, the buyer still got a bargain even at the higher price!

Loubelle70 comment is not ridiculous at all. You should have done your research prior to listing the item. The buyer acted in good faith. You wasted their time. Money left their bank account and they had to wait for it to be credited back. Then they didn’t have the option to buy at the higher price as you claimed to have blocked them!!
Like you said you were stupid. Less upset now getting cocky on here at peoples opinions.

This happened to me, only it was with a pair of football boots that were listed for £7, so not quite as much a price difference as the OPs item. I bought them pretty much straight away, seller messaged to say they would post the next day. 5 minutes later I get a notification to say the sale has been cancelled and the cheeky git had put that I had agreed to the cancellation so no negative feedback and no chance for me to leave any feedback 😤

The seller then re-listed the boots at £15. I did message and ask why they didn't feel they could just be honest and say they had put the price too low, but didn't get any response. I would have understood, I once forgot to turn off the 50% bundle deal which meant I sold 4 already very cheap tops for half the price they would have gotten! I just sucked it up and changed my bundle settings after that.

I also raised it with Vinted who said that it was not within the spirit of Vinted and the seller would be reprimanded. Not sure what their version of reprimanded is because the listing remained. Although, the boots are still for sale many months later, whilst I found a different pair for £1 more so ner to that seller 😶‍🌫️

I'm really torn about what to do.

If you were the buyer in this situation and I messaged to say I think I've massively underpriced this item so I'm going to relist it, sorry - would you leave negative feedback? 🤔

I would, yes. Do your research before listing.
