To tell you about the most delicious, healthy salad ever?

Yes, I know I could have made it and plastic packaging is bad for the environment but because it's just me tonight, I picked up M & S Superfood Green Salad and their salmon fishcakes as a one-off - Wow! It tasted so fresh and moreish and I could happily live off the stuff forever.
I love salad foods and eat them year-round but usually stick to peppers/rocket/lettuce/cucumber/white cabbage/courgette/olives/beetroot and carrot kind-of-thing. Also, watermelon/mint/feta is a favourite.
I would love to know what other salad-loving MN's think is tasty and whether any other shops have amazing fresh salads to go? Need to know what else I am missing!

I clicked on this thread hoping your salad would be something amusing like a steak pie with pea shoots on it or something, only to find it's an actual salad.

I have mourned the Sainsbury's Nuts & Grains salad for years since it was discontinued. The red pepper hummus and teriyaki dressing was epic Sad

Yes, it's good, and the super nutty one, though the dressings could do with being a bit less sweet. We sometimes have them when we're travelling, one of the nicer things to get in a motorway service station.

Pea shoots are a massive joke in this house because they come on top of every meal you order in a restaurant and they're HORRIBLE and I always have to remove them in a huff.

Yes! It’s lush… it’s my go to when travelling with work. My journeys are planned around MOTO motorway service stations 🤣 I’ve tried really hard to recreate the dressing but can’t seem to get it quite right. If anyone has managed please let me know how you do it!

@Unopenedpackofmenssocks Yes, I totally understand but this was a one-off. I usually sprout my own mung beans/grow all veg on my miniscule patch/knit my own knickers with twigs and DH's pubes harvested from the bathroom floor😂

I love their tabbouleh as well but I’m making my own version today.

@pizzaHeart You just have to twiddle the pubes into dreadlocks then use just like wool, although pubes are a bit stiff.

M&S used to do a red cabbage salad that was lightly pickled that I could have eaten by the bucket load...keep trying to make it but can't quite get it right.

Oh god, I miss that one too. I used to put it in bao buns with shredded Korean chicken. It was my favourite meal for months. And now it’s gone!
