I quite like ollys song but he didn't perform it well on the night, he sounded a bit out of tune tbh.
I would have liked to see him in a flamboyant costume and totally didn't get the weird gravity thing - it made his singing worse. You have to appeal to the public and having lots of men gyrating against each other in shorts (not particularly artistically) wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea

I watched Ireland and didn't have a clue what he/she/them (all bases covered I hope) were singing. Totally unintelligible.

Nor can I remember the tune.

And the chances of famously Neutral Switzerland being "at war" (?) Are, as usual, Zero .🙄

I honestly thought it was a bland song and strange staging etc. Not our best by a long way. Just because someone like OA agrees to do it, doesn't mean we will do well and especially not with a weak song.

My first time watching a full final!

• Told DP that Switzerland should win. Catchy, clever pop song (very Mika?) with a creative and cool stage performance.
• Thought the Ukraine staging/visuals were breathtaking and powerful, the song alone wouldn't have done so well
• UK, Greece, Cyprus were the bottom ones, imo. Greece and Cyprus were poor 2000s fluff, someone please tell me they don't still play this stuff in 'to klamp'. UK was weak and relied too much on being edgy and sexxx
• I loved Bambi Thug, but I do listen to Grimes etc so it is my sort of thing
• I was laughing during Spain's but think the singer is such a queen, hope they get to headline lots of clubs this summer!
• I will have Lithuania's song stuck in my head for the next week maybe forever

Armenia and Croatia were my faves, proper Eurovision stuff. Surprised Finland didn't do better as it was fun and quite Eurovisiony. Still gonna wear my windows 95 t-shirt everywhere for the next few months though.

Exactly this. I’m not a prude but it came across as sleazy and imho it’s almost disturbing how much costume and tropes essentially derived from ponography, are now present in light entertainment.

Staging and choreography was abysmal. The majority of people - voters - don't want to spend a family Saturday night in a gay S&M dungeon. Bbc news in the morning reported from a primary school which OA attended as a child. All the little kids were watching OA video and encouraged to join in. IMO was extremely distasteful. Nul points obviously for all of it.

I love Olly A but did not think he sang well; weirdly nasal pronunciation of his words and he sounded flat at the start. The groin gropage seemed contrived for the gay vote.

Sorry if this offends you, but I loved the eventual winner, so I think I 'understand Eurovision' 😂 Their singing and the brilliant way they held themselves in a half falling back position as they went round on that disc thing.

Estonia & Croatia, loved them - proper Euro madness.

I’ve just rewatched the French entry - that a Capella bit gave me goosebumps. I love that there was no fuss around it either.

Our entry was just pure filth - not acceptable for Eurovision. Who wants to watch a gay orgy in a dirty public loo?
I liked Armenia, Austria and Switzerland. Finland and France completely passed me by so obviously weren't captivating enough for me to pay attention!

Can’t believe how poorly Estonia did!! They were my favourite by far. I did love Greece too but I was convinced Estonia would place higher than them.

I didn’t rate Switzerland either, I’m surprised so many people loved it.

I enjoyed Estonia too and the kids loved it, they were all dancing.

Nemo was brilliant, I loved Bambi Thug and the Ukraine's entry. Windows 95 man was hilarious. I missed Olly as I nipped outside to see if I could see the northern lights. Croatia was a bit pound shop Rammstein 😉

Overall, I thought it was fun.

I thought this. WTF were they thinking with that performance? The song itself was fine. I don't want to see any kind of orgy in a dirty public shower! I'd heard complaints about it but assumed they were from Pearl clutchers.
