Does anyone enjoy sitting in the garden rather than going out on hot days?

For those with access to a garden.
Do you like pottering or relaxing in the garden on a day like today?
Do like to go out

sometimes but.....
You need shade when out which you can't always find and you've got to think or Food and Drink.
Everything's at hand in the garden.
Anyone doing this today rather than going out.

Yes love it! All inclusive and no smokers, vapers, loud fuckers, screaming kids or dogs.

Unfortunately my nextdoor neighbours are playing loud music, have 4 barking dogs, and talk loudly...

Been put in my garden since 9am, reading a book and scrolling. I hate moving too much in hot weather so I'm more than happy to chill at home. DH and I are very much homebody people.

I recall a couple of years ago when we had an unbearably hot summer it was still warm at 11pm and sat in my totally unoverlooked garden reading and starkers!

I love staying home and sitting in the garden, it’s not the biggest of gardens but we have a summer house in it and love sitting in it with the doors open enjoying the sunshine. Drinks and snacks are at hand in the kitchen,

this summer will be different as we have a new puppy next door and everytime we set foot outside it barks, hopefully once it’s used to us being out and about it will settle.

Personally I always prefer to get out on a nice day, I don't think I've ever stayed home all day unless ill or looking after sick kids. We dont get enough dry warm days so it feels a waste not to use the opportunity to get out and visit some places you can only enjoy on nice days. I have dcs and they'd much rather be at the park or on a beach, and even pre-dc I'd have preferred to go out for street food or visit botanical gardens or a riverside walk. Although pre-dcs we didn't actually have garden.
