Scottish school, my daughter is going through her sexual health education.

We are a very open family so all good and they sent the slides through of what they are talking about but there is one slide about periods which i think seems wrong.

It says

"It’s important to
remember that not all
girls have periods. Every
girl is different and
unique!"

How can that be right, i looked on the NHS website and it specifically says

"If you haven’t started your period by around 16 though, it’s a good idea to see your doctor to find out why it hasn’t happened yet. However, a delay in starting periods isn’t usually anything to worry about."

So in actual fact it isnt normal!

All the slides are done by RSHP.Scot.

Am i just reading this wrong or not understanding?

Sorry but i don't jump to the conclusion that you and others have and read thatvstatement totally different .
There ARE females (born female) who have NEVER had a period for several different reasons. Your assumption was therefore 'she' just be 'he'
I.was nearly 16 and would have gone to have the situation investigated had it been much longer.

Ah, so you thought it was about trans kids and that's why you made this post?

Of course you did. Why not just be upfront about it?

No, I’ve already said that’s not what I thought.

The second part of the post was what I was speaking about

FGS The obtuseness of these posts…..

just write, I think the Scottish ed board is promoting transgender ideology and I don’t like it.

I think all girls have periods and if they don’t they are boys pretending to be girls.

I don’t like or agree with this. Can all of the other people who hate trans children please write a comment to agree with me.

instead of this really irritating pretend investigation into a side subject, that low and behold, reveals that you don’t agree with trans children, trans legislation or attempts at being inclusive.

Not once, in this post have I ever said I don’t agree with trans children.

I initially read the paragraph as ITS NORMAL to not have a period, after comments I’ve realised this isn’t how it reads.

No-one "hates trans children". People hate the push to medicate and surgically mutilate minors and young people.
