Just curious. I’ll be voting for them reluctantly but I’m not really sure what can or will be done about the state of the country. It seems we’re skint so they’ll just have to tinker around the edges.

Oh god no thanks anyway, it’ll be pro Labour waffle worse than here

On this thread it’s mostly the 90s happened and believe which is a bit Disney

On gender I know you are keen on that ideology it’s not great for women or children though

Thankk you for explaining why you are blissfully unaware of Labour's policies.

Labour's policies 😭...which policies would you be thinking of?

JessS1990 · 04/05/2024 16:52

Desecratedcoconut · 04/05/2024 16:48

So nothing, another I don't care what they do, or what policies they implement?

Has voting Labour become another faith based belief system, click your heels three times, repeat the mantra and you are hopeful because you believe?

One of Rishi's favourite policies this week is deporting desperate people to a country that is giving the impression of sliding into war.

Are you able to tell us of any election Rishi has stood on with that as one of the policies?

I’m more concerned why the very loyal Labour posters on this thread are coming up with so little.

They would know and yet…

Maybe it really is just gender stuff

user411966691966 · 04/05/2024 16:53

I expect the feckless, illegal and misfits of society to be looked after.

Desecratedcoconut · 04/05/2024 16:54

Oh right, here's another I must be a Tory because I have serious worries about labour.
For clarity:

       Shit> Shit with gender bollocks.

Ha @Desecratedcoconut it’s a little light. Just believe

No need to be concerned, the public have clearly shown which party's policies they like best.

Breaking news West Mids PCC is Labour.

TooBigForMyBoots · 04/05/2024 16:56

Given the electoral swing in the last few days, I'm guessing Labour do have policies and stuff.🤷‍♀️

At least the voters seem to think so.

Who or what is an illegal?

A Prime Minister who breaks the law?

My main concern now is if I stay up on GE night I might not be in a fit state to support our dear anguished friends the day after.

That is a huge leap. I didn't say that at all. It is not known how they will perform as they are not there yet and it is just broad speculation at this stage. I care a lot and particularly about things like the future of the NHS. I believe that no party is perfect but I would say that Starmer has more personal integrity and humility to listen than any Tory PM I can think of. Johnson is a total self-serving fuckwit, Cameron sold us up the river with Brexit due to his innate arrogance, Sunak seems more concerned about getting his way with Rwanda than anything else when the country is in crisis and Truss and Kwarteng, leaving the best until last, well what do you think of that double act?

Ticktapticktap · 04/05/2024 17:05

I expect a nationwide version of what's happened in Labour council-run Nottingham and Birmingham

Desecratedcoconut · 04/05/2024 17:05

They aren't policies. That's a fucking wish list.

Magic appointments from healthcare workers already running at capacity. How?

Magic illegals out of hotels by securing the border. How?

Support for women who are fleeing domestic violence...and then we'll put them in shelters where they are compelled to call men women.

Build more houses, presumably with an army of tradespeople who don't yet exist.

Cut energy bills that are already falling

Tax private schooling - it'll pay for everything.

I had cause to visit Birmingham a little over a month ago. May I say how nice it was to be able to walk from my nationalised and functioning train in a pleasant traffic free environment to my destination.

Thanks for engaging with that stuff saved me looking

VAT on education is doing a lot of heavy lifting. It’ll be interesting to see how that funds it all.

Plus securing the borders? Anyone have a clue, does Labour?

Edited

Agreed.

I'd at the very least like people in power who are actually trying to help, not just in it for themselves.

Tootiredforallthiscrap · 04/05/2024 17:12

@EasternStandard you’ve become the perfect little right wing fan girl ! Hate trans folk, hate immigrants (despite being an immigrant herself) and now so concerned about privileged private school pupils. Wow. Need to have a good look at yourself. Labour cannot promise any decent policies precisely because the tories have almost bankrupted the country.

I really hope so! I dread to think what the country would be like if these Tories stay in power. They already take the complete piss out of us. Imagine what they'd do knowing there's no consequences.

Tootiredforallthiscrap · 04/05/2024 17:14

@Desecratedcoconut maybe they’ll ask the conservatives where the money has gone eh ?

Desecratedcoconut · 04/05/2024 17:16

I'd like to think you were right, that Starmer is a beacon of integrity and honesty, flip flopping on gender, green deals and the collosal amount of money from private healthcare lobbyists washing through around the party aside. But I don't think that the NHS is in safe hands with anyone right now.

I am glad you have taken the time to look at Labour's policies, it is a shame that others comment from a position of ignorance.
As you can see are more popular and coherrent than the Tories under Sunak.
