Potential threat of snipers

Does anyone else always close curtains/blinds before turning on lights in a dark room just in case there's a sniper lurking outside? I'm not a woman who's likely to have a hit on me, but I feel like it's a sensible thing to do nonetheless.

If someone wants to kill you so badly that they would hire a sniper, then you’ve got no chance.

In all of the movies I’ve watched, snipers attack during the day whilst you’re out in public.

A friend lived in a barn conversion in the country with really large picture windows. They were isolated and never pulled the blinds or curtains.

I was always edgy when we were there especially alone but the family always thought I was being a silly townie

I live in a built up area but still have the "willies" about the back garden and the patio doors at night

If, by 'sniper', you mean the neighbours who would make nasty remarks to one another about your not-for-public-consumption slatternly indoor appearance, then YANBU.

I'll have to add him to the stranger who might be lurking or living by the shed in the overgrown area far down the back garden and the one who might have got in the attic window.
