Just this! Will we actually ever get some decent weather, I swear it has been raining since last July. I don't think my mental health will take much more. Luckily I have a couple of summer holidays planned somewhere hot, but even still. Bleugh.

Gorgeous day here today, and meant to be the same tomorrow. Things are looking up. I feel that we're going to have a hot summer. Sometimes when things take ages to hot up it means the summer'll be a scorcher.

I'm utterly utterly sick of it.

It brightened up the other morning a few days ago.

I thought "fucking hell it's finally alright for that bike ride" so I got out on my bike on a route I've been dying to do for MONTHS. Was out for about 30 mins when the dark grey clouds started looming. I turned back worried about rain. ...

It didn't rain. It fucking hailed like a bomb raid.

I thought my hands were going to drop off from the icy attack. My nose, ears, fingers in fucking agony.
I actually cried. I can't take this anymore.

OMG you poor thing. I hope today is better for you. I know it's irrational, but I actually get angry when the weather is like that. I feel that days that start sunny and turn horrible are future faking assholes and I actually feel the same anger I would at a person who is flaky.

Still cold and damp in south wales 😭

Berlinlover · 02/05/2024 20:26

I live in the west of Ireland and today has been cold, wet and miserable. I’m all cosy by the fire now but I wish it was warm and sunny outside.

Agreed. It's been like bloody October all week.

mum2jakie · 02/05/2024 20:41

Today has been beautiful 😍 here. Washing out and all dry

SecondHandFurniture · 02/05/2024 20:55

Disgusting in Wiltshire. Mizzly and damp and cold all day, with added bonus of the loudest thunderstorm I have ever heard at 4am.

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 02/05/2024 21:04

It's gorgeous'taps aff' summertime in Scotland.

Blues skies and a balmy 14C.

Doesn't get much better than this. ☀️🌞🕶️

Fizbosshoes · 03/05/2024 00:16

I apologise , I mentioned we'd had 3 nice days in a row and that made me hopeful....Since then (less than 2 days) we've had torrential rain in the eve both days , a thunderstorm overnight on Wed and a really chilly and dull day on Thursday (still pissing down now 🙄)

destinationzoo · 03/05/2024 00:27

I've got a toddler who is a laundry making monster.

I swear I haven't hung one load of washing out without it being rained on or resorting to the tumble dryer this 'spring'.

Sad thing is I'm in an area (SE) which gets often gets too hot in the actually summer so spring is supposed to be the best time of year for me.

The fields around me are still boggy.

I guess this is climate change, the UK is predicted to get wetter I think?

Comedycook · 03/05/2024 08:30

It's an absolutely vile morning in London today.

sashagabadon · 03/05/2024 08:33

couldn't be more hideous weather wise in London today. Rain, cold, heavy grey skies.

Tessisme · 03/05/2024 08:53

We have had a couple of really decent days here for a change. Today is very bright and sunny so far. Apparently it is due to rain all day long tomorrow, but I feel a wee bit more optimistic now. Getting all my washing out before tomorrow's deluge!

BitOutOfPractice · 03/05/2024 08:56

It’s the unremitting grey that gets to me. Grey grey grey.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 03/05/2024 09:05

Yeah, it's very gloomy in London today. And my son's class is going kayaking all day! They don't seem bothered though, and it isn't cold. And they are basically going to get soaked anyway.

Tessisme · 03/05/2024 09:07

Its gorgeous'taps aff' summertime in Scotland.

Taps aff🤣🤣 That's a Norn Iron one too!

PassingStranger · 03/05/2024 10:38

I felt warmth last week as I was abroad, but have come back to this and feel I'm in Autumn.
It's not good.

It's actual Autumn at the moment here, and I can assure you our weather is much better than it is in the UK.

NeedWineNow · 03/05/2024 10:51

It's so miserable. We're in Kent and it's been tipping down, although it looks as though it might be easing up now🙏

We're off to London today intending to go out to Stratford to recce our hotel where we're staying when we see the Foo Fighters in June, and then coming back into the City to meet friends who are coming over from Spain for the weekend. Suspect they may wish they'd stayed there. We're having a coffee watching the rain holding out until the last minute to walk round to the station to catch the train.

I'm not a person who gets really depressed about the weather - we can't do anything about it after all - but this relentless gloom and wet weather is starting to get me down.

Catza · 03/05/2024 12:15

My heating just came on 🙀

ThePoshUns · 03/05/2024 13:13

I'm sat wfh wrapped in a blanket and have the heating on

Mischance · 29/04/2024 11:47

It's the bloody wind that is getting to me - it never seems to stop. Beautiful spring flowers that have come into bloom have lost their blossom in 24 hours. I can't do anything in the garden without getting blown over. I have had quite enough of it thank you.

This! I feel like our cherry trees didn't fully bloom this year because od the low temperature but been so windy they are dropping the blooms 😔

blobby10 · 07/05/2024 13:45

What is going on with the weather now?!! After 4 days with no rain. even, dare I say, plenty of sunshine and warm enough for shorts, today is cold, grey, dreary and looks like rain! I'm going away in my caravan a week on Saturday to St Davids in Wales and its forecast 13 degrees maximum on the long range forecast! I know the forecasts can change at the drop of a hat but how can it be so wildly different one day to the next?! ps this is tongue in cheek as I do understand about weather patterns and jet stream and El Nino etc etc. Grin

Darkflame · 06/06/2024 10:32

Argh why won't this rain just bog off!
It looks like Summer has done a bunk with Spring leaving Winter and Autumn to hold the fort.
Beyond fed up!
