70s bush envy

Sparklybutold · 24/04/2024 11:34

Is it just me or does anyone else have bush envy? Yes I mean pubic hair bush. I swear I have alopecia down there. I would love a big soft bush. Apparently you can get a bush wig which I'd seriously consider.

The sensation of it drives me round the bend. I dont like it. I dont like the texture, I dont like the valance, I dont like the sensation of hair on my labia

I don't think anyone can 'feel ' the hair there any more than we can 'feel' the hair on our heads unless we reach up and touch it.

I've also never heard of a valance except as something that goes round the base of a bed.

It sounds more as if you don't like womanhood and the feel of it's a red herring.

Oh fuck off with the don't like womanhood schtick.
You don't have to perform femininity in order to enjoy womanhood.

Go find a thread where people with ASD talk about being able to feel labels and get driven mad by their clothing and see how well they take your "well I cant feel it so I don't see how YOU can" theory.

I've already explained that I call it a fanny-valance, because thats how it feels.

How can it be porn when I was 12 years old 😂😂 never watched porn or been with a man. Lived with my old age granny she certainly wasn’t telling me to go shave or flaunting a bare fanny at me 😂 Spiders for days there.

well unless you are still 12, you've clung onto some behaviour that you started as a child and have had time to change.

I can understand that some very young girls freak out at their developing bodies and think 'yuck' when they sprout hair, but usually they grow out of it (and the hair grows too.)

DeliciouslyDecadent · 24/04/2024 15:04

Not necessarily.

I'm asking why, as a lesbian, which surely celebrates femininity, the poster can't abide her pubic hair which she seems to think is a token of being a woman (but hey, men have pubes too!)

She has said she dresses and is built like a man, which baffles me as there are plenty of very 'girly' lesbians who clearly love being feminine.

Got it ! That’s a good question . In fact I admit if baffles me a bit that some people who claim to be such radical feminists then take on so little feminine characteristics.

Oh hit a nerve?

If you can't discuss it politely, you've lost the argument.

Why does a lesbian want to be more like a man when they don't like men?

Edited

Your argument is flawed from the get go if you think being a Woman or a feminist has anything to do with public hair . It seems to me if anything you are anti woman as you refuse to accept women have different likes and deslikes

Because just like that it’s a habit and frankly I have no desire to test out how going big bushed would be since it’s been gone for 20 years.

You might as well ask a women who’s worn make up everyday of her life to stop because it’s all some forced on us not because they want too. I don’t wear make up before you start on that one 😂

Nope I think it’s vile, just my opinion but I personally like to be hair free, that goes for my DH as well, no one wants a mouth full of pubes 🤢

No one wants to have sex with a child or someone that looks like one.

I was also wondering if he might be in the wrong area entirely too! Maybe he is young and hasn’t figured it out 😄

No one should have sex with someone who thinks saved or waxed pubes looks like a child genitalia. 🥱

Nope. It’s just grim. Taking care of yourself is important.

My pubic hair isn't grim and I think you are very rude.

Of course people can feel it! Like @Verv hair on my labia drives me mad- it’s coarse, it pokes me, it is damp all the bloody time and rubs against my skin meaning if I don’t get rid of it I spend the whole time with a layer of sudocreme on my labia!

Then it gets caught and pulled when I have sex.

The hair on my head doesn’t get covered in discharge and sweat, then held flat against sensitive skin, with a layer of fabric over it, while I walk around and it’s rubbed for 8 hours a day.

MsPossibly · 24/04/2024 15:13

I've always thought the waxed or shaved, stubly, 'plucked chicken' look down there looked a bit angry and unwelcoming the few times I've tried it (and ingrown hairs 🙀). Maybe I was doing it wrong. But if I do nothing, it looks soft and plush and welcoming. In my opinion!

You're misinterpreting.

I am happy for any woman to do what she wants.

I don't buy into the idea it's 'vile' and I don't see how women can 'feel' the hair and that by removing it it makes them less female.

Cazzovuoi · 24/04/2024 15:14

I’ve got an extravagant bush. However it’s blond so you have to get reaaalllyyyy close to see it’s magnificence.

Luckily DH loves it.

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 24/04/2024 15:14

I have no need for envy as I am as nature intended.

Its far healthier to have pubic hair than not.

And frankly I think its sad that so many women think they need to shave.

Your issues sound more like a skin condition and would benefit from a GP appointment.

How strange for you to assume that being hair free is in anyway related to porn!

How naiive of you to think it's not.

How old are you?

If you are under 50, it's a porn influence.

There are plenty of hairy porn stars you know - it’s not exclusive to us that choose to be hair free. You are of course entitled to your opinion but what you cannot do is tell me what my influences are - you don’t know me and your assumption is wrong.

Georgie743 · 24/04/2024 15:15

Sparklybutold · 24/04/2024 11:45

In terms of public hair maintenance - I wonder whether there's a difference depending upon whether you are in a same sex or different sex relationship 🤔

I think women who date women are overall more realistic and understanding about our bodies.

as a lesbian, I keep my pubes very short. My wife has a glorious full bush and I love it.

Why would I reject femininity in every single element of my life but make an exception for my fanny?

Why does being gay mean you reject your femininity?
If you are gay and like women, then you are doubly-feminine.

If you are attracted to women, surely that means you LOVE females and all they have? (Bushes included.)

Do you want to be a man?

Or a pre-pubescent girl?

You've previously defined femininity as long hair, nice nails, flattering clothing, blah blah blah.
You've defined femininity as per the patriarchal definition which is that of a woman being pretty and subservient and "feminine" and appealing to the male gaze, so you'll have to excuse me when I respond to you using a similar definition.

I reject performative femininity designed to appeal to the male gaze, because I have no interest in attracting a male mate.

I do love females and all they have, bushes included.
You appear to have missed the fact that although I remove mine for sensory reasons,
I have any kind of preference for whatever anybody else does to theirs.

Why would having short pubic hair, and being gay mean that I want to be a man?

Why do you think that having short pubic hair means that I want to be a prepubescent girl?
If clipped or waxed pubic hair on an adult woman puts you immediately in mind of a child then that's a you problem.

Do you have any other questions of have you quite finished yet?

Also imagine the level of waxing required is barbaric and the opposite of self care! Its astonishing people pay to have this done - no doubt a future study in fifty years will cover the reduction and torture women were exposed to and expected to pay for as well, students will be incredulous. How do you even start to explain just why anyone would agree to this? Or injecting pigs fat or being cut up. Already it sounds dated and Medieval!

Educate yourself. Waxing goes back to Egyptian times, maybe earlier?

If it's not your bag it's not. All fine. No need to deem women who pay for this service to be worthy of yours or anybody else's ridicule and faux wide-eyed nonsense. Must everybody do the same as you? Can you really not cope otherwise?

Botox/fillers/tattoos not my thing but I have zero opinion on them having never had any of them them done.
