70s bush envy

Sparklybutold · 24/04/2024 11:34

Is it just me or does anyone else have bush envy? Yes I mean pubic hair bush. I swear I have alopecia down there. I would love a big soft bush. Apparently you can get a bush wig which I'd seriously consider.

(Dear Aston University - stick that in your pipe)

Hmm. I generally don't remember usernames but, if I recall correctly, this particular poster is male and was spreading misinformation about breastfeeding. Interesting that he also has a preference for the prepubescent look of no pubic hair on women.

So the question is - does he remove his own pubic hair or is it only women who are expected to sport the prepubescent look?

Very interesting. I wonder how often this happens on here?

PurpleBugz · 24/04/2024 11:40

YANBU.

People always make the hygiene argument but I think you can wash and keep yourself clean regardless of hair.

I've always felt it's gross. You have no hair pre puberty. Prepubescent should not be considered sexy it should be an utter turn off

Dear God there is always someone with the pubescent thing making it sexual.
We also don't have arm pit hair or much leg hair when young but I don't see people getting all outraged that shaving armpits is perverted

burnttoad · 24/04/2024 15:59

@KreedKafer equally dint try to tell people that it's perverted and paedophillic ti like a bald fanny just because kids don't have public hair.
They don't have arm pit hair but I never hear people saying that it's sick to prefer shaven armpits.

menohnopausal · 24/04/2024 11:51

People seem to have such strong opinions about other people's pubic hair! I really don't think it's "gross" to be a baldy, or "vile" to have a big muff. It's really all fine! Each to their own and all that. No need for shaming.

Agree. People seem to need to justify their position by insulting the other position.

IcakethereforeIam · 24/04/2024 16:04

One of those weird coincidences. I'd just seen this thread then was just checking the news to find out Lady Gardner has died. RIP.

Taking care of yourself is indeed important.

I take care of myself by drinking a big mug of tea while snuggled up in bed combing my big 70s bush

😂

Muddywalks34 · 24/04/2024 11:48

Nope I think it’s vile, just my opinion but I personally like to be hair free, that goes for my DH as well, no one wants a mouth full of pubes 🤢

He shaves all of it off ?

Stumpedasatree · 24/04/2024 16:06

The old books by Jackie Collins always have descriptive references to lush, moist bushes. They used to hold massive sex appeal!

Does DH wax too?

Katbum · 24/04/2024 16:06

I love my bush. DH not so keen but whatever, I’m not a porn star, my body is not a tool to arouse someone else’s sexual pleasure. We manage to have a very fun sex life and he just has to get on board with the bush.

It is much more comfortable and hygienic to have public hair - otherwise nature would have selected it out. People who remove hair totally are - whether they admit it or not - absorbing the sexist pornification of our culture. At no time in history have women removed pubes for ‘comfort’; it’s done because we are told through repeat cultural messaging that it is more attractive and ‘sexier’. Once you realise this, it’s game over for pube removal.

LittleBooThang · 24/04/2024 11:35

Nope. It’s just grim. Taking care of yourself is important.

Um, what's 'grim' is the pedophilic fantasy of a shaved pubic area.

BushRevival · 24/04/2024 16:15

I have a bush that I don't trim or anything like (but i have never waxed anything).

I used to feel pressured into using hair removal cream on my bikini line if I was going on holiday but I have HS and the GP said that best thing I could do is leave it completely alone so I do.

Except I actually am more comfortable and have fewer issues with my skin when I remove the hair from my labia.

I have a full bush on my mons pubis (basically anywhere you can see if I’m standing naked), but underneath I remove it so I’m not constantly getting a friction rash and getting it caught during sex.

(Incidentally DW also has far fewer problems with the skin on the 3/4 of her head she has shaved compared to the rest of her scalp)

I personally think they're itchy and smelly.

I even ask dp to trim his armpit hair, not shave, just shorten aswell as his pubes. I think hair holds smell no matter how much you wash and I don't want that in my face. Picking hairs off your tongue while going down on someone just feels gross.

I'm assuming you're talking about your own and your DH's? Mine were never itchy or smelly and I had an original luxuriant 1970's bush. Sadly now I'm a pensioner it's more like a well worn brillo pad but such is ageing.

Definitely! DW has HS and doesn’t use ANYTHING on her skin bar a sensitive combined shampoo/conditioner on the bit of her head that isn’t shaved. It’s an awful condition to have.

EC22 · 24/04/2024 16:21

Im fair haired.
My lady garden has sparse grass. I’d never be able to shave a heart into it.

I've been told why I remove my hair countless times by other women.
At no point, having been enlightened so regularly, has it or will it ever be over for pube removal.

It'll never be game over for removing labels from clothing.
It'll never be over for cant cope if one shoe is tighter than the other.
It'll never be over for panicking if I've got something in my teeth that I cant remove immediately.
It'll never be over for will be driven mad by a moustache whisker if I cant get at it to pull it out as soon as I can feel it poking through my skin.
It'll never be over for keeping my nails short because the sensation of fingernail touching keyboard makes me want to vomit.
It'll never be over for putting my hood up when I'm stressed or uncomfortable.

If I am lying about my reasons for removing my pubes and it's all about the porn, why do I leave my armpit and leg hair alone?

DagenhamDanny · 24/04/2024 16:23

Personally, I love a neatly trimmed lady garden. But a full Amazon rainforest? No thanks.

I was unlucky enough to encounter a stale sweat smelling pair once - I think that is probably the source of my severe aversion to pubic hair, they smelt oddly like mince pies which I also now have an aversion too 😬. The relationship failed swiftly after !

Lol Oh my gosh that is tragic!

My partner and I shower before sex usually.

BushRevival · 24/04/2024 16:24

I really should have proof-read my post before hitting post.

ComeAgainPlease · 24/04/2024 16:25

When I swan competitively in my teens one uniform was a thin red suit which showed my dark thick bush in every strand of detail, so i shaved and that was even worse of a display. Eventually i shaved it into a heart shape and rocked it.

BushRevival · 24/04/2024 16:27

@TheLadyofShalotts

It's not pleasant, hopefully your dw doesn't have many flare ups.

Luckily, I haven't had one on my groin for a long time so hopefully that carries on.

LittleBooThang · 24/04/2024 11:35

It's not "grim". It's natural.
You can take care of yourself without removing body hair.

LadySugar · 24/04/2024 16:29

If I am lying about my reasons for removing my pubes and it's all about the porn, why do I leave my armpit and leg hair alone?

If you had coarse black leg hair would you honestly leave it alone?

I'm all for hair. Armpit and bush, yes, and mine is dark. But I can count on one hand the number of women I've seen with visible leg hair in public. Of course if your fair, you might not need to shave
