To think Tamara Ecclestone is the luckiest woman alive

2 healthy and happy children, adoring husband, lovely relationship with sister, health, all the money in the world. I follow her on instagram and she seems like a lovely mum.

Only slightly jealous that she's constantly taking her children all around the world during school holidays and always going to lovely places constantly. I do wonder why she posts on instagram so much though, surely, it's not like she needs the instagram advertising revenue.

Is she the luckiest woman humanity has ever seen?

I think her sister Petra looks really poorly.

Willmafrockfit · 15/04/2024 08:17

fact jay rutland's sister is jo wheatley, who was the winner of the 2nd bake off

Riapia · 15/04/2024 08:19

She has a terrible problem with piles.

SwingTheMonkey · 15/04/2024 08:22

Nothing good comes of comparing one’s life with others.

When I watched her show years go filmed after her older child was born. You coulkd tell she had postnatal depression and no one on her team was saying anything. She was struggling in plain sight. That was one of the most baffling things, and it was part of the reason why I stopped following her. It was a very uncomfortable viewing .

Gosh no, I didn't pick that up either. What alerted you?

Blackcats7 · 15/04/2024 08:24

I never understand why anyone wants to “follow” someone they don’t know going on about their everyday life?
This seems very different to me in being interested in reading about someone’s area of expertise or seeing how friends or family are getting on with special events etc.

Whenwillitgetwarm · 15/04/2024 08:07

Yes he seems shady as.

I didn't know this. What's he done?

On another note, did anyone notice she had an actual sloth brought into their house for her daughters birthday?!

Beezknees · 15/04/2024 08:28

I recognise the name but have no idea about what she does or what her life is like, so don't agree.

Crunchymum · 15/04/2024 08:30

She's hardly a philanthropist is she? She could so such positive things with her money and influence. But she doesn't.

It's a light hearted thread, no need to be so rude. Of course we don't know what goes on behind closed doors just like anyone else, however all things being equal she seems a lot luckier than most of us!

No, she's just much richer.

Ps is that you, Tamara?

kefirgiraffe · 15/04/2024 08:34

Lentilweaver · 15/04/2024 07:48

Anybody who craves constant Insta validation does not have a perfect life. I am not jealous because I don't follow her and know nothing about her.

Spot on

Worldgonecrazy · 15/04/2024 08:34

Certainly more fortunate than most, and able to make life choices not available to many. I know I would love to be able to walk into Chanel and buy anything I wanted, but imagine that it loses the attraction after a while.

Sealtheenvelope · 15/04/2024 08:42

TarantinoIsAMisogynist · 15/04/2024 08:12

People who are happy in themselves tend not to need external validation, so they don't seek it.

Social media doesn't show you someone's reality or whether they are happy - all it can tell you about is the extent to which they are seeking external validation. That's as true for rich socialites as it is for your annoying friend who posts cringey memes.

This. Social media bears no resemblance to anyone's real life. There's was a post on MN the other day where a parent listed what they had done with their children over the Easter holidays, and asked whether it was enough. That's where we've got to, the need for strangers to approve what we do.

The one with the husband who was convicted of his part in a MASSIVE fraud (tens of millions)...

CoCoBeeBee · 15/04/2024 07:43

She had her home broken into and a load of jewellery stolen must be awful to live in fear of safety in your own home...

This happens to lots of people. The difference may be in the value of the jewellery. At least she has the option of where to live. And would not have to put up with so many headaches that plenty of other people have to endure, regarding their neighbours.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 15/04/2024 08:44

Seems nice enough but I wouldn’t like to be born a target- to have my children born targets. To have my cleaner rob me and my ex humiliate me.

Isitjustmethenhmm · 15/04/2024 08:44

@MsKirby How could you tell she had post natal depression?

Asheyr · 15/04/2024 08:45

Her husband is a bit of a pillock. Imagine being a heiress with billions whilst also being married to Del Boy.

I caught an episode of their reality show once. The way the husband drives around London in his massive RR acting as if he was some self made man was beyond cringe.

Goodadvice1980 · 15/04/2024 08:48

Not much of a life being so rich and never knowing if someone genuinely likes you or is just after your cash 💰😥

Comedycook · 15/04/2024 08:51

The comments saying she must be lonely and have an empty life seem ridiculous to me. She has a family she seems close to. A husband and two lovely daughters and lots of nice holidays. I agree op. She is very very lucky.

PigsyChibsy · 15/04/2024 08:52

Never knowing if people want to be friends with you because of what you have / what you can do for them is not something I would envy. If you watch any of the reality shows eg Made in Chelsea, you will see beauty and money doesn’t bring you happiness in friendships, love, life etc.

Comedycook · 15/04/2024 08:54

Its quite funny to see people tying themselves in knots to convince themselves her life must be absolutely terrible and in fact it's much more fun to slog your guts out in a 9-5 and struggle to afford one holiday a year

VestibuleVirgin · 15/04/2024 08:54

VestibuleVirgin · 15/04/2024 07:39

What a pointless post.
Who the hell cares?
Although, it is sad that you believe social media lives are real lives. No wonder the world is falling to bits, people have no idea how it woks, not how to exist in it

This should have read:
..no idea how it works...
and
...nor how to exist!

DuchesseNemours · 15/04/2024 08:55

All lives are a mixture of freedoms and limitations. Tamara will have different freedoms but she will also have different limitations.

Not least the habit of posting an image of a perfect life on Insta when she has nothing to 'sell' suggests it fulfils a personal need in some way. Which does trigger the question, why would someone with a perfect life need to spend time displaying that perfect life to others - what would they get out of it? If you were really living a 100% perfect life, wouldn't you just live it?
