Madeleine I was at a friends house when it came on the news and we’re looking at each going if that happened here they’d be hung, drawn and quartered.

then more details emerged and if they hadn’t of been doctors they’d of got of the plane and been arrested that’s my opinion of it.

Dumblame was on my sisters 18th birthday.

Diana’s death I was 17 and still living at home and remember waking my dad up and him saying “not our Diana”

9/11 I was working in the City and rumour had it Canary Wharf was next.

7/7 - I was late into London because of a dentist appointment, caught the tail end of the tube bombings and saw the aftermath of the victims - awful.

9/11 is my first memory of any major news story. I was 8 and can remember my mum watching on a little 90's box telly in my parents bedroom with her hand over her mouth, and the live pictures on the telly. I couldn't really grasp it but knew my mum was reacting to it in absolute horror and her reaction is what freaked me out.
