Accidentally drank pee

Needhelpquick1212 · 07/04/2024 18:53

This is completely disgusting and name changed for this
I was cleaning my DD’s room and found a glass hidden, I have been worried about dd 13 for a whole due to her behaviour and thought has she been secretly drinking
I put it to my Jose couldn’t smell anything
I took a tiny sip like minuscule, kind of put it to my lips and out and couldn’t taste anything. It wasn’t alchohil
well it turns out its piss form when she has a sleepover with a friend and they didn’t want to go to bathroom
im absolutely disgusted and also now worried for my health. Im grounding her as it has been in there for a week
im beyond disgusted now worried about my health

Well yes, everyone learned something here didn't they. 1. Don't drink random liquids. 2. Don't invite skanks for sleepovers
It won't make you ill, just cause a lifetime of residual mental aguish and intrusive thoughts.

I honestly can’t cope
I don’t know what’s actually bloody wrong with them to do this.

It won’t make you ill. I hope you made DD clean the pee. And even if it’s in your kids bedroom, don’t drink it if you don’t no what it is!

BaronessBomburst · 07/04/2024 19:02

Impressive she got it in the glass.

I never will again but I never ever ever imagined this was a possibility - was worried it was alcohol ffs I feel so sick to my stomach

Put it into perspective though OP, you said you kind of put it to your lips and it was a tiny minuscule sip. You didn’t glug it down. Be furious at your DD and her friend yes, but put the actual act out of your mind, you are torturing yourself for nothing.

FortunataTagnips · 07/04/2024 19:06

You’ll. Be. Fine.

Peeing in your room and keeping it for a week is a clear indisputable grounding, don’t even bother letting her debate it.

There’s a rather batty actress called Sarah Miles - I think she’s still alive - who used to proudly tell everyone she drank a glass of her own urine every day. I agree it is a bit different drinking someone else’s though.

Not really though, calm down OP. But yes obviously she should be grounded.

duckcalledbill · 07/04/2024 19:08

Your daughter is rank

but also did you really drink an unidentified yellowish/green liquid? More fool you.

It was not orange it looked like watered down coke - I thought they had been drinking something and coke. Upon learning one of my thoughts was that she needed to drink more water

This may make you feel better. I was feeding DS some porridge and the door went so DB took over. When I came back in he was doing: one for baby, one for me and gobbling up spoons of porridge. "You know that's breast milk?" I have never seen a man run to the bathroom so quick. DS is 22 and it still makes us both go a bit weird now and again 😂Another learning experience for everyone.

Even a sniff would’ve told you it was pee/or alcohol.

or….you just take the glass to your daughter and ask her to tell you what it is/drink it.

I couldn’t smell anything though
and I just had a worry it was alcohol I think by the time it had got to my lips my brown was saying not to drink though - I never thought it would be wee I was thinking maybe a nail remover chemical or something by that point

dd is out

OP posts:
TeaKitten · 07/04/2024 19:17

Why would you deliberately drink a chemical? And I thought your DD managed to tell you what it is so clearly she has her phone even if she’s out

I don’t know I did it impulsively in hindsight I 100% wouldn’t do that again

Don’t really see why you have grounded her for this.
Clearly she needs support with her hygiene, but it’s not her fault you drank it!!!
OP you need to calm down ; you will be completely fine. drinking piss obviously feels beyond gross , but it won’t actually harm you. Urine is about 95% water/ mostly sterile and doesn’t contain the sort of microbes that make people sick.

Edited

She’s not grounded cos I drank it. I could potentially get over the fact she did it under certain circumstances. She’s grounded cos she bloody left it there for 7 days for the cleaner to see too! It was hidden behind her desk it’s rank and unfortunately not the first hygiene issue we have and I have had to keep
Y asking her to do. She needs to learn and have consequences to prevent it happening again.
