Katie Price claims she is responsible for Peter Andre's career, branding him a "nobody".

In a scathing interview, she said that Pete had "nothing" before he met her in the jungle.

Speaking on Anything Goes with James English, Katie said: "when we did jobs together I'd always get more money, make sure we had separate contracts.
"I think he found that a bit hard as well. I was like well hang on you've just turned up in the jungle, I've already got a career going on.
"You had a song like, how many years ago? you need to earn it. this is the truth, I don't care what anyone says I made Pete again. I made him," she said.

Is Katie right in what she is saying do you think?

Yeah she's right pretty much.

If he was working before the jungle and his subsequent relationship with her, it wasn't in front of TV cameras anyway.

She has a point, but she's also clearly a terrible human and he seems ok. And if they had separate contracts then she was clearly ring fencing her cash, sensibly enough, so should just let it go now.

Why do people keep giving her air time? She’s dragged so many men through her children’s lives, she’s chaotic, has made so many awful choices and really needs to get some help. She crashed cars, so many animals have died in her care and every ex and her have been in the press, I feel so sorry for her children. Her life is one big car crash.

Edited to add it’s not just Peter Andre, half her husbands/partners were nobody’s until she met them.

I don’t think it’s possible to say.

Even if they hadn’t hooked up, he might have had a resurgence simply by being on I’m a Celeb (at the time where it was a bit more relevant).

And it certainly helped her career too.

Yes she’s right. I don’t think saying it is very dignified but then I don’t think dignity is something she’s bothered about.

Hmm I feel their relationship elevated of their profiles as they has their own series of their home life and having junior and princess - I loved it! 😂

Whereas the day they split, she went back to car crash (no pun intended 😵‍💫) and he's been a positive influence in many things he's done..

I feel so sorry for her son and daughter. She obviously is so hell bent on damaging him that she doesn't give a flying fuck about the children she had with him. She is a toxic person.

It's the truth. And he is an awful person. He used her, abused her and then made a dick out of her. I hate Peter André and I am not a Katie Price fan so have no skin in this game.

I think both of them were past their best regarding their careers which is the whole reason any celebrity goes into the jungle anyway. It’s more likely that they had a resurgence as a pair, than they would have done individually afterwards.

Came on to say this but SnowyOwl got there before me.

She has pretty much used every relationship and/or situation to get her name in the Press (including this one) so she's got a bit of a cheek really. I don't like either of them particularly. She's had her time (decades ago) - not bad for someone with zero talent to have got the column inches she did - time for her to put up and shut up and stop being so consistently nasty
