Killjoys reporting funny troll threads

Often this time of night I enjoy a few of the troll lighthearted threads, the replies to which can often be hilarious. But just as they get going a killjoy/s report them and they get hidden. They are so obviously not real so where is the harm in letting them stand? Even just for a couple of hours so we can have a laugh.

MN do sometimes leave the funny ones up for a while. I have to admit I've been quite entertained by a few of the troll threads

Dp has an umbrella that he keeps in the car and two dressing gowns and I may never know what this means now 😳

I agree. They keep me company when my insomnia is bad.

Was the umbrella from TK Maxx though? I do think it makes a difference.
Someone even said to people not to report that thread but still some goody-two-shoes has to be teacher’s pet and tell 😆

A shameful bump for the other insomniacs or Australians or indeed the night time trolls 😜

I can't sleep. I doubt I have the brainpower to keep anyone amused by troll antics though!

I think they leave up the ones where everyone is faux pearl clutching tho. My fave was the ‘well endowed husband, his speedos and a holiday to France’ There are some which are better done than others ;-)

I like a good troll thread, I have a soft spot for the water contamination/serpents/bison troll but they get deleted very quickly now. I also genuinely miss the M&S troll.

I couldn't stop laughing at the one from a woman who had gone to a fancy dress party in a hotel with her DH and he had disappeared. She went up to their room and caught him having sex with another man who was in a fancy dress costume as a giant pencil .
I laughed so much DH woke up. The replies were so silly.

I loved this too! Best laugh I’d had in many a month. The troll threads are often a lot more entertaining than the real ones. It’s a shame to pull them. Especially when they’re obviously a troll and everyone’s knowingly playing along.

I REALLY wish MNHQ wouldn’t delete the troll threads that gain funny momentum and end up doing no harm. Just a comment saying “This is a troll thread just so you know, but continue”. Some cracking ones have been removed

I was trying to find whatever happened to the well endowed husband seeing how we have not heard about any rocket launches in the siouth of France :P
