Asked DS to get me some treats while he was at Tesco and he bought me After Eights. Just that.
AIBU to be gutted

Next time tell him you want a giant toblerone/a jam doughnut/packet of maltesers. Poor lad.

I'd be crying

OP I'm with you! If my husband didn't know me well enough to know what I considered a treat I'd be gutted too!
Nothing worse than looking forward to a surprise treat and then being disappointed.

Never mind, if this is what he considers a treat, then you know exactly what to get him for his birthday!! 😎😎 (unless he actually likes After Eights!)

emmetgirl · 02/04/2024 21:12

I'll have them!

gimmegimmegimmeagin · 02/04/2024 21:13

Maybe they were on club card special.
@Boombatty I love the idea of freeezing them !

SallyWD · 02/04/2024 21:14

They're the best

AnImaginaryCat · 02/04/2024 21:16

Well he's a wrong un.

Is he too old to put up for adoption?

nettybud · 02/04/2024 21:16

I prefer Mintola myself.

BoohooWoohoo · 02/04/2024 21:19

How old is he and do you think he wanted to try After Eights ?

Yellowtrouser · 02/04/2024 21:21

My DH often ask for a treat in a similar way but wont say what he actually wants. It is really annoying, especially when going to a metro/local supermarket. Why dont you just ask for some chocolate if that is what you know you would like?

He knows I love Turkish Delight. There was no excuse.
I've told him I'll put it them away for Christmas as they're hard to get hold of then. He told me not to be daft there's about 300 boxes on the shelf.
