I have recently just got a dishwasher and oh my goodness it’s the best thing since sliced bread ….I don’t know how I lived without it ! What is your must have product ? What else am I missing out on ?!

Dishwasher, moving to a house with one built in was just heavenly though I don't put greasy pans in it so still a little bit of washing up to do.

Washer/Dryer is also built in, I've never had a dryer before!

Shark cordless hoover, house is done in 10 minutes now. Though I still have my miele corded for the big cleans, I can't part with it, I love it.

The Tommy tippee prep machine when DD was little was great, loved it.

Air con at my old house, I'm really going to miss that come summer!

Dyson hairdryer. I got it as a treat but was kind of expecting it to be just like a normal hairdryer. But it hasn’t disappointed me - my hair feels totally different and dried within 5 minutes (usually takes 20 with my powerful Phillips hairdryer).

I’ve never lived in a house without a dishwasher but when ours broke it took 6 weeks to replace and that was a pain.

Is there something special about Meaco? Our dehumidifier has done nothing.

My Meaco will gather 20L of water over a day or two.
They're very, very good.
I don't understand what you mean by yours does nothing. It collects water, right?

Buffypaws · 02/04/2024 09:27

@JMSA lol yes it just doesn’t seem to stop mould appearing sadly

I bought a cheaper one and it does pretty much nothing. The Meaco seems to be very powerful.

Firstly my fridge, went from a 60/40 integrated to a huge american style french door and honestly its been life changing.
Every time i open her she brings me so much joy.

My Dyson Airwrap, honestly i debated for 2 years, bit the bullet and got one and its all i have used for the last 5 years now.

And lastly my insinkerator, now i know people either love or hate this but for me its been the best thing ever, grinds almost everything from chicken carcass to teabags i can put everything down it which means my bin doesnt smell.

My heated airer it dries laundry so quickly, adds gentle heat to the room and is so much cheaper to run than the tumble drier. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever bought.

Parlux hairdryer. Like I have twice the amount of hair I had before. Where has it been all my life?

I want to love mine but it’s a bit meh. Better than nothing but take ages to dry clothes, much much much slower than a tumble dryer. Is there a technique to hanging clothes on it to get the best out of it

Mummame2222 · 02/04/2024 10:03

I actually prefer washing up to loading and unloading the dishwasher 🤦‍♀️

suki1964 · 02/04/2024 10:11

I went for a counter top dishwasher when we just couldnt make a space for one in our kitchen 30 years ago and have had a dishwasher ever since. I have a slimline one now ( theres 3 of us ) still takes 2 days to fill as I still do saucepans by hand

Both my Ninjas - dual drawer and 15 in 1 .

Sage Bambino - only me that drinks coffee, its my special treat just for me

Shark lift away corded vacuum. OMG I never thought vacuuming could be something that I actually didnt mind. With a cat and a dog, my house was very fuzzy - now I have vacuum tracks on the carpets and the use of lint removers has decreased

Cilit Bang shower foam. I HATE cleaning the cubicle showers we have, just go in, spray, go back 5 mins later and rinse. Total game changer

SamBeckett · 02/04/2024 07:18

Thanks @MoonlightMemories I will have another look at them , can I ask you what model yours is.

Yes of course you can - the one I kept coming back to.and ending up deciding to buy was this Comfee 3 Place Setting one:

sashh · 02/04/2024 10:20

Mobility scooter - still new and learning but getting there
Portable Air con
Heated throw

Desecratedcoconut · 02/04/2024 10:21

I never put a wash on without being thankful that I wasn't born in an age when I'd have to do that shit by hand.

Squirrelsnut · 02/04/2024 10:23

Little , light upright vacuum, a powerful one. My floors were horrible because I hated using the Henry, bloody cumbersome thing. My petite vacuum is just as powerful and almost a pleasure to use..

Coastalcreeksider · 02/04/2024 10:24

Revlon One Step which leaves my hair really smooth and Tower Airfryer with the window and shelves not baskets.

Have only used my oven four times since end of January when I bought it.

hangingonfordearlife1 · 02/04/2024 10:27

dishwasher
airfryer
cordless hoover
dryer
amazon fire tv stick

DoYouSmokePaul · 02/04/2024 10:28

My Thermomix! So amazing, makes cooking fun and easy and everything tastes as nice as restaurant food. All goes in the dishwasher so cleaning is a piece of piss. The meal-planning and shopping functions are also life-changing and we never throw out gone off food any more. And my freezer is full of homemade lasagne, enchiladas, Thai fishcakes, etc. 100% life changing.

Desecratedcoconut · 02/04/2024 10:30

I'd love a thermomix but I have too many abandoned gadgets to trust I would make use of the significant outlay.

QueenBee22 · 02/04/2024 10:33

Steam steriliser and dryer. Bottles come out sterile, dry and ready to use. Best money I ever spent.

LenaLamont · 02/04/2024 10:33

Downstairs loo. Changed my life.

Maureenthemagicunicorn · 02/04/2024 10:36

My egg steamer. Perfect soft boiled eggs every time with 20ml of water and no standing over the pan faffing with a temperature dial.

PotatoPudding · 02/04/2024 10:50

I found the opposite. Took a good 10 hours to dry a full load. Electricity bill went down after getting a heat pump dryer 😂😂😂

DJQuackers · 02/04/2024 10:57

Getting 2 dishwashers, I hate doing the washing up. Our kitchen would be filthy without them!
