Drugs are killing healthy young people. How is it that a drug dealer is not tried as a murderer?

It's not limited to class. It could be your own son or daughter.

You know how many people in Singapore die from overdoses? Almost none, because drugs are actually illegal there.

Either way, it's a straw man compared to the complex issues being discussed in this thread.

Cars have a purpose.

Drugs are just drugs. But I would be in favour of legalisation and taxation too. Make it legal and you cut off the criminals (to some extent).

I'm not denying people commit crime in order to feed their addiction, but not a single person in this thread has said they think it is OK for people – even for those substance use disorder – do it.

@MrsTerryPratchett 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 thank you. It isn't always a choice. I'm supporting one lady whose mum began injecting her with heroin aged 8, to keep her quiet whilst she sex worked. She's addicted through no fault of her own.
