Page 5 | Ice cream and crisps are massively overrated

Is it just me or do crisps and ice cream get way too much food kudos? I mean, they're OK, but there are loads of things I much prefer. DH and both DDs think I'm crazy and it's become a major talking point at home (in amongst all the deep discussions on politics and climate change of course). Thoughts?

I was wondering if this was a new food combo and now feel obliged to eat them together, although I think only ready salted crisps would be ok for this instance

Crisps are the food I would have on my death bed. Many packets of them. In all flavours. You are very, very unreasonable OP.

I'm not fussed about ice cream. But you're very wrong about crisps.

I can't have them in the house because I'll eat them instead of having my dinner.

I don’t really like ice cream tbh it’s ok
crisps are just ok too. Over rated by who? I don’t really understand. I love a nice chocolate cake, or meringue or crème brûlée
a lovely roast dinner too, or steak. Other people may think they are over rated but I like them?.

I have gone off ice cream lately as all the "premium" stuff is chocolate or caramel or a combination. I'd rather have a bar of chocolate and the caramel ones just taste of sugar, as does cookie dough / vanilla / peanut butter which is all you get in mainstream supermarkets now. I like any kind of nut ice cream or the purple yam one you get in SE Asia.

Waitrose Pistachio ice cream is very nice.

Yes it's hard to find something that doesn't have chocolate chips, chunks, flakes, sauce, chocolate whatever in it. The chocolate put in ice cream usually isn't very good
