I don’t think I am so I’ll start and if you want to you can share your own mumsnet ‘failings/crimes’ in the comments 🤷‍♀️😂

I am not married
I am a SAHM
I don’t shower every day
My showers are at least 15 minutes long
I can’t drive
I don’t own a house or have a mortgage
I do things with my child even though they won’t remember it
I will have a big age gap between my children as we’re not planning to have another one before the first starts school
I am still breastfeeding
We co-sleep
I am not no-contact with either of my child’s grandparents
I enjoyed Baby Sensory
I don’t like wine
I don’t spend all my free time cleaning/tidying
I don’t mind making my partner lunch
I haven’t been to a wedding as an adult
I enjoy the toddler stage
I can’t make a chicken last multiple meals
I start buying Christmas presents on Boxing Day
I keep cards
I don’t limit screen time
We always go food shopping together
Me and dp always go to bed at the same time
I take my child with me when I meet up with friends
I don’t mind if the house gets messy/there’s toys everywhere as my little one plays
I feed my child food that I know they will eat
I parent as child-led as possible (if it’s not safe or harmful to anyone then I step in but other than that I encourage independence)
We don’t have a dishwasher or tumble dryer

There’s probably more 😂

I love that shirt 😆

See I’m reading a lot of these supposedly un-MN things and thinking how very MN, so that just goes to show how perceptions of a place can differ.

There’s so much of the MN crap in this thread that’s supposed to be unMN.

Yeah, some of them are. There are people saying "I work full time" and "I'm a SAHM" there's a pretty good mix of each on MN so I don't think working status is really relevant!

Also people saying "my house isn't spotless" that's not anti MN at all, if anything it's the other way round.

OnlyYellowRoses · 25/03/2024 06:12

I work full time but my salary is £27K a year, not 6 figures (wish it was!).

I have 4 children by two different men, I have a good relationship with both of them and we go on holidays all together. They pay me maintenance and see their kids every weekend.

My husband is 20 years older than me, he's not a perv and I'm not a gold digger, we just fell in love. I don't hate him, our relationship is wonderful and our sex life is great.

We rent, mainly because it's almost impossible for us to get a mortgage without the monthly repayments crippling us.

One of my kids won't eat any veg, yes I worry he'll die of scurvy but I don't force the issue.

I smoke (not near the kids though!)

I hate alcohol and rarely drink.

Most of my friends are men, not for sexual reasons, there's no underlying sexual tension from any of them, I just 'gel' better with men and find women or female groups hard to bond with.

I wash my towels weekly.

I shop in Aldi.

I love my elderly catholic mother in law and my sister in law. Both have always been warm and welcoming and have never overstepped boundaries or tried to push between myself and my husband.

A roast chicken only lasts for one meal in my home Grin

GlitterBall91 · 25/03/2024 06:18

I eat more than 3 calories worth of food a day
im absolutely fking skint and earn less than 30k a year and live in a flat

AmusedMaker · 25/03/2024 06:48

Not sure about 6 meals from a chicken & all that, the only thing I’ve noticed over the years is that the typical mumsnetter is:

female.
heterosexual.
has children.
politically left leaning.
working class with middle / uppercase aspirations. Although many are very middle class & nothing wrong with that.
25 - 55 age range.

and that’s it.
so in that respect I’m a typical mumsnetter.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 25/03/2024 06:49

I use elderly loo brushes to clean toilets (possibly not quite as elderly as those of @Catsmere though 😅)
I don't obsess about house cleanliness at all and don't recall me or anyone else in the house ever washing skirting boards.
Perfectly happy to share towels with other family members.
Get on well with our neighbours and happily help out, take in parcels etc.
Always answer the door.
Look forward to unexpected guests.
I happily eat out of code food without checking on MN if I'm likely to die.
Have four cats but only one litter tray.
Don't bother with pet insurance.
My biggest MN sin however is that I'm male.

AnImaginaryCat · 25/03/2024 06:55

What I love about these threads is how the items lists of things the poster does or is that they think are un-mumsnetty completely contradict other items on other lists of apparently un-mumsnetty things.

It's absolutely gold when a post comes directly after another and is the exact opposite of it.

Lentilweaver · 25/03/2024 07:33

I dont hate people or find them all exhausting or 'drama' so that's my MN badge revoked.
I live in a flat because I like living in a flat.
I won't be charging my DC rent
I dont think the UK is as terrible as many say it is
Lots of other stuff but these will do for now

AnAwfulPerson · 25/03/2024 08:15

I don't earn six figures
I don't mind my MIL
I don't care if people get my title wrong
I like dogs
I'm not orthorexic

RampantIvy · 25/03/2024 08:18

I answer the phone and the front door
I don't take my bra off when I get home
I don't wear pyjamas all day if I'm not going anywhere
I don't have an iPhone

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 25/03/2024 09:02

I love dogs. I actively prefer pubs and cafes that allow dogs.
My dds were never nightmare teens.
I change bedding when I think about it, could be a month.
Ditto towels, unless they actually look grubby.

We are a shoes-on house.
I don’t need anyone making a fuss on ordinary adult birthdays.
We have 3 toilet brushes in this house.
When we had a dog, I always let her lick plates and dishes before they went in the dishwasher. Roasting tins and fish pie dishes were her favourites. 🐶. She was as good as a Brillo pad.
I’d run a mile from any spa day or any other ‘pampering’ treatment that would involve being mauled about.
As far as I’m concerned, a ‘deep clean’ is a term correctly applied only to operating theatres.

I will however confess to getting 3 meals out of a chicken.

Lelophants · 25/03/2024 09:10

They very strong views feel very mumsnet to me

LlynTegid · 25/03/2024 09:13

I don't have a car. I live in a flat.

Though in terms of income, aspirations, and politics, I probably am typical. I even live under 10 miles from mumsnet hq!

Goodness me give your head a wobble! 😂

LetMeGoogleThat · 25/03/2024 09:40

I don't own a slow cooker

I sometimes buy and prefer frozen mash

I can't feed 4 for a week on a single roast ( hand reared and organic) chicken

I've never said LTB

Westfacing · 25/03/2024 09:47

Me and dp

my little one

Sorry OP they're both very Mumsnet!

Differentfromtherest · 25/03/2024 10:06

I have no children.
Love dogs, the smellier the better.
I also have a loo brush.
I am not interested in what others earn or have in savings and pension pots.
I live in a mediocre-bedroomed house and have no desire to buy a mansion or extend.
I don't WFH, am very productive at work and like my work colleagues.
I don't have health anxiety.

IloveAslan · 25/03/2024 19:04

I'm not permanently offended
Have never WFH and would never want to
I don't hate, or even dislike, men
I don't own an airfryer

suburburban · 25/03/2024 19:22

I only wear pyjamas for bed, never when I get in from work but may put on track bottoms

Misspacorabanne · 25/03/2024 19:30

I hate cooking, can’t meal prep in advance, and not everything is made from scratch!
I don’t shop in Boden and white stuff, I’d happily shop online or primark!
If I was buying a new winter coat, I’d think anything over 50/60 pounds was very expensive, over my budget and I’d keep looking.
I like charity shops and buy many things second hand!

iLovee · 25/03/2024 19:41

I'm a SAHM

We have a cleaner

My husband does most of the cooking

I don't shower every day either

I change bedding once every other week

We share towels

I don't drive, and on occasion ask friends for lifts to places!

I like going to hen nights and weddings

We spent a fortune on our wedding and had over 100 guests, I don't understand the "we did it on our lunch break and got people off the street"

I always answer my front door

I don't mind if people pop over
unexpectedly

If my kids don't like dinner I'll cook them something else

I think trans women deserve to be treated with respect

I like my family and my in-laws (most of the time!)

I don't think its worth falling out with people over things like giving my toddler milky cup of tea

My friends are nice to eachother

MotherofChaosandDestruction · 25/03/2024 20:03

I have multiple toilet brushes and I love them!!!
