I don’t think I am so I’ll start and if you want to you can share your own mumsnet ‘failings/crimes’ in the comments 🤷‍♀️😂

I am not married
I am a SAHM
I don’t shower every day
My showers are at least 15 minutes long
I can’t drive
I don’t own a house or have a mortgage
I do things with my child even though they won’t remember it
I will have a big age gap between my children as we’re not planning to have another one before the first starts school
I am still breastfeeding
We co-sleep
I am not no-contact with either of my child’s grandparents
I enjoyed Baby Sensory
I don’t like wine
I don’t spend all my free time cleaning/tidying
I don’t mind making my partner lunch
I haven’t been to a wedding as an adult
I enjoy the toddler stage
I can’t make a chicken last multiple meals
I start buying Christmas presents on Boxing Day
I keep cards
I don’t limit screen time
We always go food shopping together
Me and dp always go to bed at the same time
I take my child with me when I meet up with friends
I don’t mind if the house gets messy/there’s toys everywhere as my little one plays
I feed my child food that I know they will eat
I parent as child-led as possible (if it’s not safe or harmful to anyone then I step in but other than that I encourage independence)
We don’t have a dishwasher or tumble dryer

There’s probably more 😂

I own a toilet brush

I change my bedding when I can be bothered

I like my teenagers

I'm fat and not going to beat myself up about it

I always answer the door/phone

I don't mind people popping round unannounced and my house is jot visitor ready

I don't limit screen time

My kids don't have a set bedtime

My kids played out and walked to school alone from around year 5

Moonshine5 · 24/03/2024 19:49

Use shampoo every 7-10 days max.
(Shower and wet hair daily).

PonyPatter44 · 24/03/2024 19:50

I love this thread!! What makes me un-Mumsnetty:

-I answer the door
-I like going to weddings
-If people do things that upset me, I tell them and don't just stew on them pointlessly
-I like talking to strangers
-I am fat 🙂
-I eat Spam and KFC

Crucially....

I dont earn six figures and my DP doesn't have an outing hobby!!!

BeckiWithAnI · 24/03/2024 19:50

Shame on you all! Get off Mumsnet and go clean your houses and insist on cooking your DPs healthy home cooked meals, (none of the UPF stuff!) and then complain that DP never cooks or cleans.
Then go get your ducks in a row to LTB because he’s a massive narcissist. He can go stay at your MIL’s. And whilst we’re on the subject you have a husband problem, not a MIL problem.
I do think I can see a line though, hun, best test in a couple of days to be sure. Congrats 💐

BouleDeSuif · 24/03/2024 19:51

Nope.
I'm fat- not only fat, but not on a diet
I live in a council flat on an estate
I co sleep with the child (5) and the dog (11)
No pension

mumonthehill · 24/03/2024 19:52

I have 2 loo brushes
honestly have no idea how to get multiple meals out of a chicken
I probably own most of the clothes described as frumpy on the style board.

Itloggedmeoutagain · 24/03/2024 19:53

No kids
No joint finances
Leave my shoes on in the house
Let my dog off the lead
Changed my name on marriage and call myself Mrs.......
I'll see myself out

colouredball · 24/03/2024 19:54

vanocks · 24/03/2024 19:33

I don't use the "d" prefix. Just say husband, partner, daughter, son

Oh no!

I read 'DCoroner' on a humorous post earlier today and it made me laugh so much!!

Thepeopleversuswork · 24/03/2024 19:54

I think the huge variety of posts we've already had on this thread gives the lie to the idea of a "mumsnetty mum" FWIW but I'll play:

  • I work FT and have no intention of downsizing or trying to achieve a better "work life balance". I am the breadwinner and I don't think having a mum who works hard sets a bad example to my DD
  • I don't "hate people" and I'm not a self-diagnosed "introvert" who is allergic to going out and wants to spend all my time with my DH and kids
  • I didn't "find myself" during lockdown and have an idyllic time growing marrows and making finger paintings with my kid
  • I don't have a DH who plays golf
  • I don't limit sugar
  • I think "outdoor" and "indoor" clothes is a load of neurotic nonsense for people who don't understand science
hangingonfordearlife1 · 24/03/2024 19:55

we have at least 3 take always a week and my teenagers barely leave their bedrooms. don't force my 16 year old to school because i know she's better off studying alone. i have an 11 year age gap (middle of the night accident) and am 41 with a 2 year old, 13 yr old and a 16 year old. i'm mostly too knackered from my full time job to parent the 2 yr old cd and he is feral.

VictoriaWreckham · 24/03/2024 19:49

My DH has a hobby and I’m prepared to tell you what it is (it’s golf)

I eat all the chicken in one go

My children eat UPF cereal for breakfast every day because it never did me any harm

When my kids were newborns I never once worried about people passing on germs by holding them

I have children but am quite happy for you to have a child-free wedding

Lol at the first one! 😆

Fannyfiggs · 24/03/2024 19:56

I absolutely HATE Cos

I don't have children

I love my cats more than most people

I try to be kind in most of my replies to people even if I think they're batshit crazy

Rosestulips · 24/03/2024 19:57

I don’t have a massive pension ‘pot’ 🤮 hate that term

i don’t judge people by their regional dialect

my children don’t do eleventy million extracurricular activities

if a guest brought 7up to for dinner I wouldn’t think it was odd

some educated people say haitch

Not wanting unwanted uninvited guests is perfectly reasonable

K0OLA1D · 24/03/2024 19:57

I'm disabled
I have tattoos and piercings
My wardrobe is mainly black and band tees
I have cats and let them roam
I have a dog who goes off lead (responsibly)
I don't drive
I vape
I drink, and don't have an alcohol problem
Me and dp have trips away overnight without each other
I don't shower every day
I don't wash my clothes after every wear (except underwear)
We all have our own towels which get used waaaay more than once
I have plastic grass (was here when we moved in, but it was a game changer, see above disabled comment)
Had my dc in early 20s
Didn't go to uni
Happy with my average earning career

Sure there is more

Sparksi · 24/03/2024 19:57

I’m in my early (mid?) twenties 😂

This nearly had me in tears, especially the part about the husband problem.

BartiRum · 24/03/2024 19:58

I’m not a MumsNetMum, I’m a cool mum. 😂

ThePoshUns · 24/03/2024 19:59

Namerchanger1 · 24/03/2024 19:40

“I’m not like other girls”

Ha about to say the same. Go you all you crazy non conformists 🤣

Soukmyfalafel · 24/03/2024 20:01

I live in a 2 bed flat with my family and kids don't have their own room each.

I work FT bit dont have a high flying career, and I still find it bloody stressful actually!

I won't go to centre parcs because it is a bit of a rip off.

My ILs are fucking mental, but I don't need to start a thread about it.

I've got no intention of getting married.

My home is never immaculate due to being small (although apparently easier to keep clean and tidy on MN - it isn't)

As you can tell by the above, I couldn't give a shit about poor grammar.

I have two boys and never felt disappointed about it.

Springtime43 · 24/03/2024 20:02

I like all inclusive holidays so I expect you all to be horrified

Happytoplayfair · 24/03/2024 20:03

The thread I didn’t know I needed! Love it.

Moneybum · 24/03/2024 20:05

This is making me laugh a lot.

Why aren’t we allowed toilet brushes btw? Seen a couple of references to that... I get they can be germy but are we supposed to do perfect poos?!?! How else do you clean up? My MIL won’t have them and I honestly thought she was odd. Didn’t know it was the “done thing”

PotatoPudding · 24/03/2024 20:06

I couldn’t care less if DH has a cheeky wank in the shower or when I’m out. I love a bit of qualiy time with my vibrating friend.

I wondered this too. Also, why can’t we answer the door?

@Moneybum some people on here think you should just use tissue to wipe the toilet (not sure how that would work, surely it would get soggy and clump together/tear?) 😂😂
