Thanks to @imnobody4 for setting this up on the feminism threads.

The government are consulting on sentences for domestic murders. If you are stabbed by your partner (or ex) the sentence he will get is less than if murdered by a stranger outside.

Thank you for the heads up on this.

Done. Though it asked for organisation so I just put none.

Thanks. It's a fairly muddled bit of description on the surveys. Asking about the baseline of 15 years. It (so far) doesn't reference that the equivalent for non domestic killing is 25 years

Eg "Do you agree or disagree that we have correctly identified the range and extent of the equalities impacts under Section 1 of these proposals set out in this consultation?

Strongly agree

Agree

Neither agree or disagree

Disagree Strongly disagree
Please briefly explain your answer and give reasons and supply evidence of further equalities impacts if you believe otherwise."

There doesn't seem to have been anything in the national press about this.

There is a good article on ITV News about it though, which includes several cases and interviews with the women who have campaigned for change after their daughters were murdered, as featured in "Murdered at Home":

I don't know if they have caught the whole programme but someone has put the recent ITV programme "Murdered at Home" up on YouTube in two parts. They will probably get taken down for copyright infringement so catch quickly if you haven't got a TV Licence:

Thank you, I have responded.

The program above is available in the UK I(f you have a TV licence) on ITVX. Search for 'Tonight' and it's episode 8 of the current series.
