Back by popular demand, lol.

Please continue to share your day's delicious delights! Whether you are a snack muncher, or a total gourmand lets continue to relish in eachother's meals!

I've only had 2 packs of chicken flavour crisps and a belvita bar so far today. I'm sure you can do better than that!

Happy Eating folks! : )

I am obsessed with M&S microwave meals, 3 for €12, so tonight I had the chicken and pasta arrabiata! With extra cheese and some cucumber on the side.

Lunch: ham & cheese sandwich, a mocha, a pack of rolos, an orange

Breakfast: 2 hash browns from the deli

springcantcome2soon · 26/02/2024 21:42

Frozen pineapple
Homemade lentil, onion, carrot, red pepper, garlic and tomato soup with seeded toast
Small piece homemade banana bread
frozen pineapple
Roasted salmon fillet, roasted new potatoes, roasted broccoli and cauliflower (all roasted in olive oil and spices) and a small spoonful of mayo.

Couple of coffees with skimmed milk and a bit of coconut sugar.

Nellieinthebarn · 26/02/2024 21:58

Started out well with avocado on wholemeal toast, rapidly went down hill with cheesy chips and baked beans, then tomato soup and croutons.

Copious cups of tea in between meals and just had a hot chocolate and a couple of hobnobs.

Very little in the way of nutrition today, but normally I do much better on the fruit and veg front.

preggo39 · 26/02/2024 22:01

Brown seeded toast with peanut butter
A Bonne Maman madeleine
A babybel
A Kinder milk slice (I'm obsessed with these and try not to buy them too often)
Leftover veggie dhansak, dal and rice
Wholewheat pasta with broccoli, peas and Parmesan
Small bit of cherry dark chocolate

ScrambledSmegs · 26/02/2024 22:03

Lunch - Cavolo Nero (kale) and grapefruit salad, then homemade avgolemono soup (Greek chicken soup with rice and lemon)

Dinner - Beef bourgignon with mash and green beans.
A few red grapes.

Plus black coffee and fennel tea at regular intervals. That kale salad btw was absolutely inhaleable, I bought Alexina Anatole's book Bitter and am making pretty much everything in it, I love it all.

mrstnov13 · 26/02/2024 22:07

2 slices of toasted sour dough bread with lashings of butter and a peppermint tea.

Fish and chips with mushy peas and a Fanta orange.

Spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and water.

Two mini Colin caterpillar cakes with peppermint tea.

IWroteTheOther51 · 26/02/2024 22:11

Apple and date baked oats with blueberries
A packet of mini cheddars
Lamb kofte, gigantes plaki, green stuff

CurlyTop1980 · 26/02/2024 22:17

I've had a terrible food day today....

Forgot to eat breakfast so had 2 small heart shaped chocs at work, 2 jaffa cakes and a mocha. Way too much sugar.

Lunch I had a chicken salad. Not so great as it had pasta and potatoes. But it was small.
Dinner was grilled chicken, salad and humus. Then I ate some yoghurt covered popcorn not nice only had 3. Then a packet of crisps. I've also drunk about 5 litres of water.

mamaduckbone · 26/02/2024 22:20

B - Muesli with oat milk and a dollop of Greek yoghurt
S - banana
L - chicken and avocado salad, satsuma
S - apple
D - small portion of aubergine and tomato pasta, salad.

First day of trying to not be a greedy pig (over half term managed a stone baked pizza and fish and chips in one day, so something has to change)

zaxxon · 26/02/2024 22:25

DinoMummsy · 25/02/2024 20:40

Loving this thread! 🤤

Pancakes with butter and jam and cup of tea
Tuna melt toastie with tomato soup
Toast with peanut butter and choc spread
Toast with butter and banana
Cheese and crackers
Lemon cheesecake

That sounds delicious! Practically my dream food day.

I had:

Slice of toast, coffee, half an orange, bowl of Fruit & Fibre cereal which tasted like cardboard

Leftover veggie katsu curry with rice & one square breaded tofu, plus a latte

Half a falafel wrap

Two Weetabix with yogurt and raisins, red bush tea

Sunnycats · 26/02/2024 23:01

A small pancake with banana

Scrambled egg and half a bagel, a little individual madera cake

2x coffee with oat milk

Fishcake

Salted pretzels

SittingontheSidelines · 26/02/2024 23:46

Thanks for the new thread @BobbyBiscuits

Today I had 2x almond milk lattes, otherwise not enough to drink.

One ready salted crisp reluctantly offered me by my soon

And for dinner a Costco beef burrito with baked beans, home made coleslaw, and a very large salad

Angrymum22 · 26/02/2024 23:59

Yoghurt, oats (soaked in apple juice and blueberries)

Cheese and apple sandwich and a pax of walkers Max paprika flavour

Falafel and hummus with a couple of crumpets.
Starbar

I have started using Inulin powder, added to yoghurt in the morning. It’s supposed to be a prebiotic and with all the hype about gut bacteria I thought I’d give it a whirl.
After two weeks I have significantly less bloating and my appetite has reduced.
My excuse for a star bar is that it is peanut butter and now considerably smaller than they used to be.
I usually eat a slightly healthier evening meal but the falafel and hummus were out of date tomorrow.
I did make a stir fry and divided it up to have for lunch at work tomorrow and Wednesday.
The cheese and apple sandwich was a reminder of my childhood. My DM would make them when we were little. I love the crunch, and less antisocial than raw onion and cheese.

BobbyBiscuits · 26/02/2024 23:59

@SittingontheSidelines One crisp...you swine! haha.
Loving the pic. I've never been to Costco, I've heard they do massive hot dogs, pizza and stuff in their hot section for really cheap? My FiL has a membership there but we don't drive sadly and it's nowhere near.
I love beetroot and baked beans, underestimated combo! : )

half a sliced apple

A boiled egg

Half a bar of 70% chocolate

6 teas with honey

2 crackers with cheddar and friends homemade chutney

gocompare · 27/02/2024 00:48

Half an onion bhaji
Half a samosa
Two chicken nuggets

BouleDeSuif · 27/02/2024 07:57

Today is:
Toast and plum jam and a banana
Lunch- whatever I decide at the time, might be an Edam omelette with beans (I have no salad items) and an apple
Dinner is the last of the chickpea and potato stew with carrots and green beans, and I'm quite tempted to make jelly.

SittingontheSidelines · 27/02/2024 08:54

@BobbyBiscuits we're a long way from Costco too but my adult son has membership and will often bring us back something. I keep saying I'll go with him but shopping isn't my favourite.

@Angrymum22 I'm a very anti social raw onion user and cheese and onion is my favourite but I love cheese and apple too.

For tonight I'm defrosting the last of the "here's one I cooked earlier" a savoury mince beef and veg. (I'll post a picture later) After that all I've got left in my freezer is a packet of burgers which we will have some time this week and some assorted veg mainly open. So I can give the freezer a quick clean out before restocking. I want to do more freezing of left overs/batch cooking but have never let the stock get low enough to do this much before.

Chocolatepeanutbuttercupsandicecream · 27/02/2024 12:15

Yesterday was overnight oats for breakfast with raspberry compote, then a pot of melon that I’d chopped and portioned, lunch was a southern fried quorn wrap, I bought a Starbucks skinny latte when I was out, then a hobnobs chocolate flapjack thing when I got home, tea was a really nice beef stir fry with soy and peppers, rice, and some five spice roasted broccoli. Glass of red wine. And pudding was peaches in strawberry jelly (I’d been buying the ready made tubs, but they’re quite expensive so I decided to make my own).

BobbyBiscuits · 27/02/2024 14:30

@Chocolatepeanutbuttercupsandicecream I love raspberries. Hate the pips tho!
Beef stir fry, total classic.

I ate so much after I last posted. Lol.

Had 2 yoghurts, 1 honey one rubarb
Then at 1am decided I desperately needed mature cheddar, pickle and some stale ciabatta. No weird dreams after...

Today just discovered Graze cherry bakewell bars. So good. I don't think you are meant to eat the whole pack though, lol.

B: 2 slices sourdough toast with butter, peanut butter and mashed banana

L: nothing

Snacks made up for that tho:

a kiwi (so tasty, not a fruit I normally have)
a satsuma
5 dates
2 babybel lite
carrot sticks and houmous
tunnocks tea cake

D: will be bbc good food Sea Bass & Vegetable traybake (has potatoes, red pepper and black olives). Found the sea bass lurking at bottom of freezer that I'd got for a bargain 99p last month. Have never cooked it before, so hope it turns out OK!

Loads of tea with semi skimmed milk, and water
