Not aibu just intrigued. This thread was done on here ages ago and it was so fun. I have two:

Pasta is gross, I'll eat it but its not delicious as people make it out to be its cold slimy dough.

I'm sure she's nice but Beyonce is overrated.

People who walk really slowly sometimes two plus abreast on narrow pavements or walkways with no regard for others who might need to be quick.

Similarly - people who suddenly stop 🛑

I get annoyed by people who walk so close behind me that they go slamming into the back of me if I suddenly need to stop/decide to stop. Someone suddenly stopping is only an issue if you're walking too close to them.

Some people walk so close behind me that I can feel their breath on the back of my neck, then when I stop, they are like 😧😠and I am like 'don't walk so bloody close to people then!'

See also driving/cars. Them suddenly stopping is only an issue if you're too close.

I am the same. I LOVE bananas - but dislike anything banana flavoured.

Conversely I HATE oranges - but love anything orange flavoured.

I love strawberries - and love anything strawberry flavoured.

I HATE lemons - but love anything lemon flavoured.

I LOVE blackcurrants, and love anything blackcurrant flavoured.

I love cherries and love anything cherry flavoured.

I dislike apples and dislike anything apple flavoured!

I have no fucking idea why I typed all that out, or why I thought anyone would be interested. But you're welcome. 😆

Tall people are penalised the minute they sit in a plane seat. Every time the person in front moves the seat bangs into your legs. Don't even get me started on how much worse things get when the seats recline.

Yep, loads of people love him/them, that’s why my opinion is the unpopular one. But seriously, “To die by your side, well the pleasure, the privilege is mine.” Why? Why would being mown down by a bus be such a heavenly way to die? I wanna die in a nursing home, in my nineties, because I was ogling the nurses after sneaking some whisky and chocolate cake and my heart just couldn’t take it anymore 🤣. Please, help me understand the appeal of the dreary lyrics. 😂

I love Hate Island.

His songs are a funny mix of morbidity and self awareness. "People who I'd much rather kick in the eye", "I was looking for a job and then I found a job and heaven knows I'm miserable now", "And people who are uglier than you and I, they take what they need and just leave" and so on. There's a kind of grim humour in it and every now and then, in spite of himself, a bit of genuine tenderness without taking the piss out of himself for it.

I think of him as the Philip Larkin of songwriting.

No mistreatment of animals is not right, but it's not fair to blame the average pet owner.

Very controversial at work but I believe business class plane tickets are an unnecessary expense for any flight under 10 hours. Fly everyone premium economy and save the cash. Or if you are feeling generous offer us the difference in ticket cost in cash in our pockets.

Vinted is gross. A nylon beige top from Zara, photographed on some teenager’s crumpled bedsheets - yours for £2.

I judge adults with the palate of a child… by which I mean those who don’t like hot drinks, olives, any vaguely interesting seafood, wine, the more adventurous vegetables etc. Screwing your face up at an avocado is very childish.
