For being angry at our neighbours parking?

Hi all!

We live in a terraced house on an estate that has designated parking for those without driveways. Infront and to the left of our house is where our neighbour parks his van as that is his space. However recently he has taken to parking his second car and encouraging his visitors to park infront of it and therefore directly over our pathway. I have asked nicely a few times and its still happening. To me that is clearly an obstruction? We have to go onto our neighbours property to get around. I have had to carry my wheelchair bound friend OVER the gravel on new years eve because his friends had parked there. What route do I need to take with this??

Cheers!

I'd get an outwards opening metal gate...

I think you should park your car where the BMW is. If he has to ask you to move it to put his van there so be it. He will eventually ask why you are parking there wont he?

Scatter broken glass on the ground when his car isn't there.

I'd seek legal advice about the hot tub, it should be in everyone's deeds they have to allow access and they have clearly breached this.

I feel for you, what nobby neighbours!

Can you not get the local PCSO involved?
personally I’d start letting air out of tyres and writing please stop blocking path in lipstick on the car. Smearing shit under the door handles etc. Then deny everything.

Bubblybooboo · 19/02/2024 19:31

Well if you can’t get around his car without scratching it that’ll be his own fault.

Not a clue, the nice neighbour on our left has been there a few years and said they had it installed a couple of years back but the houses in the middle were selling up so noone bothered to fight them on it.

Did you not realise when you bought the house?

Unfortunately my significant other bought the house himself to start with! He is less keen eyed..

Oh what a shame. Sympathies because we bought a house not knowing that the end of the garden has been donated for use to the behind neighbour so our fences are weird and we are missing a triangle.

I have similar issues. Turn the front garden into a parking space. It will kill two birds with one stone; prevent neighbour from blocking you and also much easier for loading baby in and out of the car 😁

Every house has a ring doorbell that would 100% catch me in action 🤣🤣🤣

I'd walk over it every time I wanted to get in and out of my house. 😂

No advice but my god some of your neighbours are grade A twats!
Hope you get sorted somehow OP
