I get whet he meant about his son. I don't find his comments about not wanting a child at his age were wrong and he clearly doesn't mean he didn't want Sid.

I'm not commenting on some of the other pratty things he says but suggesting he doesn't want his own son is unkind and untrue.

Older generation?? Men earning the bread and butter and wife at home? He's 59 according to that article so wasn't even born until the sixties! An adult in the eighties so no excuse on the grounds of age. He's just a dick.

I have a few friends who get up, get themselves ready for work, children ready for school, sort breakfast whilst husband is still in bed! Husband gets up and gets himself ready and leaves for work whilst woman does the nursery drop off, the school run and then races to work. Woman races from work to school and nursery pick up, gets home cooks dinner. Husband gets home and fucks about with his phone or ‘relaxes’ after his ‘hard’ day at work. Woman then does bedtime routine with children, cleans up from dinner and eventually sits down at about 9.30pm. And repeat the next day!

I cannot fathom why so many women put up with this selfish shitty behaviour!

This reads terribly and makes him look like a complete twat. But part of me thinks that this is bad PR more than anything else. These "My Saturday" columns are bullshit. I believe that he pisses off to the gym all morning. But I find it hard to believe he only sees his son for 90 minutes when he comes home. I doubt he plays computer games for 3 hours every Saturday. That was probably included to make him appear more cerebral (which it doesn't).

Maybe I am being too generous to him but I think it reads worse than it probably is in reality.

Ignoring the feckless men that we oft read about on here - I don't think you can compare Gregggg with other dads in respect to time spent with children, he has a life that allows him much more time for this during the course of his week/month.

And I'm sorry to all those who say that everyone is being unfair on him, but he's brought this on himself! There's enough stuff out there, both from himself and about him, to realise there's some truth in what sort of bloke he is! Anyone remember when Saturday Kitchen first started and he was the lone presenter? Couldn't be arsed with chit chat when any blokes were on the show! Yet constant innuendos and double entendres when a female was on! It was absolutely sickening! A few people I knew commented on it at the time, even my mum pointed it out! I had him down as a total sleaze from the off! And I haven't been disappointed.
To me he's nothing more than a jumped up greengrocer who thinks he's an expert on fine cuisine!
