So I placed an order of over £100 for a item of clothing and an accessory on the 24th January.

Absolutely no communication from them until today when Royal Mail claimed that there was an attempt at delivery but no one opened the door….but I was at home the whole day and I don’t think there was an attempt at all.

I live in a flat so went all the way dowstairs to check the buzzer and it is working. Later in the day I received delivery from Amazon so it is definitely nothing wrong with my buzzer.

I planned to wear the items purchased tomorrow but now apparently there will be another delivery attempt on a next working day, which will be Monday even though the Post Office and Royal Mail work on Saturday mornings.

AIBU to think that 9 days is plenty enough time to have items shipped? I’m in Lobdon too and they have shops here. Please do not reply saying that I should have phisically gone to one of their stores if I wanted the items quickly. I’m not talking about next day delivery.

Is it normal to be so agressive about this kind of thing ? Anyways, thanks for this thread everyone, I didn't know there was a Sézanne shop in London so will pay a cheeky visit.

There are two btw

The aggressivity is not about the topic, frustration yes.

The active aggression is a response to the passive aggression so common here.

Only if they were willing to refund me in full plus some and I can keep the order nevertheless.
🤣🤣🤣 as if!
Also £8 delivery? is coming wrapped in cashmere? £3.95 is standard

It is totally my fault. I didn’t even realise I was paying so much for delivery until I had to check my account after the failed delivery attempt. I just loved the items and thought they were perfect for my event today. Apparently it comes from France hence the price.

I look at the items online and I’m turned off now😞 Hope I still like it when it finally arrives, otherwise I will go in store and exchange or return - and never buy from them online again.

Having ordered from Sezane a lot, It clearly states their order processing time to dispatch is 3-7 working days, they’re not shy about that!

Their returns are ridiculously easy if you end up doing that but why on EARTH should you receive the items and a full refund when they’ve dispatched in their time frame?!

This is a lot of misdirected aggression

It’s Sézane btw (sorry, couldn’t help myself).

I understand 🤣

VanilleA · 03/02/2024 09:35

Doesn't it come from France? £8 isn't a lot really to get it delivered. It also helps discourage people from buying and returning. Also they have a sale on so it will take them longer to dispatch etc.

I think your beef here is with RM.

You're having a laugh

pictoosh · 03/02/2024 09:47

Agghh I hate online shopping and this is why...it's a fret and a hassle. I much prefer going in-store wherever possible, seeing for myself and having the item in my possession - BUT the shops are stuffed with polyester nasties and there's nothing I'm arsed about possessing.
I'd love to visit Sezane but I'm in Scotland.

What to do? Shopping for clothes is a toil these days.

I agree. Can’t find anything nowadays. And sizing is all over the place. Shop in store - the changing rooms are small and you are too close to the mirror, and in the winter, too many layers to peel off. It is a faff.

Royal Mail knocked on my door 5 minutes before I was due to leave today with my Sézane parcel. I didn’t hear the bell again?

Didn’t have time to open it yet abd will do as soon as I get home.

FFS people are you all illiterate?
This was never an option on the OP, what is wrong with the majority of you?
Or you just come on threads to pick?
This was never on the OP and obviously is something that would never ever happen? Well, not for mortals like me anyway. Of course it is ridiculous - so much so that I'm surprised you all taking this suggestion seriously.
In fact this suggestion is as ridiculous as the suggestion that I should spend my Saturday going to some sorting office god knows where to collect something that I paid £8 to be delivered to my doos step.

I have other clothes in my wardrobe, it is not the end of the world. But I still doubt Sèzane processed quick enough and obviously RM is at fault.

To the ones suggesting I didn't hear the bell or the doo properly...I have no words.

But it bothered you so much you felt the need to write and entire post about it. A sorting office is usually local and if not then return the item and move on.

Yeah that's not happening

Killinginthenimya · 03/02/2024 20:10

Ive had Royal Mail ‘say’ they’ve attempted to deliver several times when they haven’t.
they also provided tracking where it said the parcel was on my roof..
they’ve also said my parcels have been delivered, yet it wasn’t too my house, after a huge complaint two days later my parcels magically were re delivered to my house.

Killinginthenimya · 03/02/2024 20:12

My fave was where the guy didn’t even ring the bell or knock the door but just shoved the card through. He was surprised when i quickly got to the door and went down the drive to ask where my item was.
he couldn’t tell me why he hadn’t bothered to ring the bell or knock the door..

littleteapot86 · 04/02/2024 07:43

and did you like your order in the end? Mine arrived yesterday. It wasn't an Archives order, just the Peter skirt and unfortunately I love it and it would go great with a new Gaspard - (I'm skint haha!)

Wadermellone · 04/02/2024 07:56

I don’t understand why you are so pissed off with sezane. They sent it out in the time frame they say they will.

If you think Royal Mail didn’t attempt to deliver it or didn’t ring the bell. The annoyance should be with them.

You seem to have fallen into the trap of assuming because some places delivery with in a couple of days, everyone does. Postage isn’t cheap. But It doesn’t matter what you are paying, at no point did sezane promise you the item quickly. You assumed. That’s entirely on you.

CheeseSandwichRiskAssessment · 04/02/2024 08:54

The Gaspard looks like it might be itchy, does anyone have one ?

I love the patchwork denim midi skirt ! And the Milo bag, although the APC grace looks to be a bit nicer. Decisions, decisions...

I have one. I don't find it itchy at all but I know people have different sensitivities to that kind of thing.

Usually you can only go to the sorting office if you have a card telling you to. Because if my postcode they usually send me to two different locations because I’m between boroughs - the first part of my postcode is shared by two boroughs.

So not only I’d have to try both sorting offices, I’d have to try and convince them to give me the parcel without a card - but the parcel would have been in transit anyway since despite what they said (next working day delivery) they still delivered on a Saturday - and I’d not be at home to get the delivery since I’d be out going from one sorting office to another.

If you have an email from RM you can normally use that instead of the card. The rebooking link on the email tells you which collection office. Or that's how it works at mine anyway

If you bought online you can refuse the goods/ cancel the order and have a full refund.

Had a look at their website to see what all the fuss is about . . . . not impressed to be honest. You're probably better off wearing something else anyway.
It's not the end of the world these things happen.
