To think this is weird?

DH ate his dinner in another room on his own then went to bed at 5:30 without saying anything! He’s been in bed ever since. So out of character, been together over 15 years and he’s never done this before. I went up to see if he was ok and he said he’d thrown up immediately after eating dinner. Wouldn’t say anything else, I’ve not heard anything from him since! How weird

My own most weird behaviours have been when:

1 - I was actually really ill (subsequent norovirus). Somehow my body knew I just needed to go to bed, and I did.

Either gambling or sacked.

My first thought was he'd lost his job.

Maybe he's just got that Friday feeling. By Friday night, I'm absolutely whacked & often just get home, shower, eat & head to bed.

If I knew his password, I'd be straight on the computer looking at the history.

Not to alarm you but one of my ex did something similar to this and he was having an affair.

To me it sounds odd, it sounds like he is guilty, or anxious about something he doesn't want you to know about. Money, gambling, stress at work?

Something happened when he was on the computer. This sounds like a big reaction from him and I couldn’t just leave it.

Going to bed ill isn't the issue!

It's the fact he didn't say anything, not one word, to his wife!!

"Not well, going to bed" is all it would take.

Yes, the fact he had to eat his dinner at the computer, which he never normally does either.

Why not eat dinner at the table, and then go on the computer.

What was so important he had to be on it THEN?

It’s odd but try not to jump to conclusions. Someone who was once important to him may have died and though he doesn’t know them now, perhaps it’s hit him. There are many reasons someone could be low and it’s pretty common to try and process that on your own first before speaking about it. Give him some space for now and tomorrow tell him that he’s worrying you and can he please share what’s wrong.

So I’ve checked the computer. Nothing untoward there but he could be deleting history.

Checked his email - nothing untoward apart from a lot of deleted emails about hooking up with Ukrainian women. They do look like junk mail though to be fair

Cant get into his work email unless I use his phone which he’s got with him.

Checked his Facebook - Nothing dodgy there

I have found a folder full of photos of famous men though 😂 Matthew Perry, Russel Crowe etc - no idea what that’s all about

Well, yes, it does sound weird. But so is not going up to check on him for five hours, especially if he told you he was ill.

Well I’m going to bed now, let’s see what tomorrow brings.

Deeply ashamed about this but I had multiple online 'affairs' via a game years ago. Things would often go wrong with them and I'd act like this, going to bed early, pretending to be ill etc

I hope its not that but it does seem he's had bad news that he doesn't feel he can share.
