Just having a argument discussion with DH. We've just binge watched Detectorists and I made a comment comparing it to Outlaws. DH was completely confused as he claims they are different actors. It's a while since we watched Outlaws (which we loved) but I'm 100% sure that Mackenzie Crook was in both. Even though Wikipedia tells me otherwise.

Is anyone else convinced that they are the same person?

I do have form for this - I muddle up Leonardo Di Caprio and Matt Damon, and Will Smith with Samuel L Jackson. I mean, I can visualise them in my head and know they look completely different, but on screen it's more challenging.

I don't really do it with women. Although Jessica Chastain and Amy Adams have posed a challenge at times.....

Yes the two Ryans! They really are the same person surely. They look the same and do the same stuff. And yes to DiCaprio and Damon too, though I know which is which when i see them, but can't visualise them differently.

I never used to get Samuel L Jackson and Laurence Fishburne mixed up UNTIL I saw an interview with Samuel L Jackson complaining about people mixing them up - and since then I do! Sorry Samuel.

Also Claudia Schiffer is on the cover of Grazia this week and I thought it was Rosamund Pike.

I also mix up all the Emily's; Blunt, Mortimer, Watson, Woof. I can't tell one from another.

Jake Gyllenhall is so unattractive I couldnt mistake him for anyone else.

Not sure why.. not that similar? Both have quite 'pixie' faces though

It has always been Odo (from Deep Space Nine) as Cameron's double for me.

There are at least 4 Toby Stephens. One of them is Damian Lewis, one is Stephen Campbell Moore (although Stephen Campbell Moore is definitely not Damian Lewis). And I can't remember who number 4 is - someone who only became Toby Stephens quite recently.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but Rob Brydon and Ben Miller are the same person in my mind, even though I know they’re not.

Yes! Even though I don't think they look alike really- I always used to get Ben Stiller and Adam Sandler confused!
