Just having a argument discussion with DH. We've just binge watched Detectorists and I made a comment comparing it to Outlaws. DH was completely confused as he claims they are different actors. It's a while since we watched Outlaws (which we loved) but I'm 100% sure that Mackenzie Crook was in both. Even though Wikipedia tells me otherwise.

Is anyone else convinced that they are the same person?

I do have form for this - I muddle up Leonardo Di Caprio and Matt Damon, and Will Smith with Samuel L Jackson. I mean, I can visualise them in my head and know they look completely different, but on screen it's more challenging.

I don't really do it with women. Although Jessica Chastain and Amy Adams have posed a challenge at times.....

Even worse this happened to me in real life with two male work colleagues. Started talking to one of them as a continuation of a conversation I'd been having with the other one. He was so confused! Even worse it definitely wasn't a one time occurrence. They looked almost nothing alike!

I always mix up Helen Hunt and Laura Dern in my head. So if I wanted to watch Twister I'm like 'the one with the tornados and Laura Dern...or is it Helen Hunt' I can tell them apart if I see a pic in front of me though just not in my mind 😂

I'm usually quite good at this, but those two Ryan actors, one was in Barbie, and one was Deadpool. To me they are completely interchangeable.

They really are interchangeable. They appear to have the same off-screen personality as well as starring in similar films and both being called Ryan.

They look and sound totally different to me but I do think some people are a bit face blind, my DH thinks Selena Gomez and Kelly Clarkson are the same person.
