Just having a argument discussion with DH. We've just binge watched Detectorists and I made a comment comparing it to Outlaws. DH was completely confused as he claims they are different actors. It's a while since we watched Outlaws (which we loved) but I'm 100% sure that Mackenzie Crook was in both. Even though Wikipedia tells me otherwise.

Is anyone else convinced that they are the same person?

I do have form for this - I muddle up Leonardo Di Caprio and Matt Damon, and Will Smith with Samuel L Jackson. I mean, I can visualise them in my head and know they look completely different, but on screen it's more challenging.

I don't really do it with women. Although Jessica Chastain and Amy Adams have posed a challenge at times.....

For me it's Greg James and Joel Dommett.

MacKenzie Crook’s face is a lot thinner (gaunt) than the other guy but there is a similarity around the eyes. Crook is also a much bigger and better actor.

Natalie Portman and Kiera Knightley were another but I can tell them apart now as Knightley is the one constantly pouting.
