BobbyBiscuits · 24/01/2024 19:22

I love reading/ hearing about what people have eaten for some reason!
I like telling people what I have eaten too but often they think I'm weird, haha.

So, would you share what you had today and if it was good or bad? (Taste wise, not judging the health benefits)

Mine so far was...
Half a pack of cadbury mini eggs (omg sooo good! will finish them after dinner!)
4 quorn mini eggs (there's a theme here for some reason!)
3 x tea with 2 sugars and milk (twining english breakfast)- my new fave. PG have changed the recipe the bastards!
2 glasses white wine (yummm)
2 satsumas, one with too many pips (why everything is round shaped today?)
& and going to have quiche lorraine with potatoes and salad...(not my fave but my my nice fish is in the freezer and the quiche will go off tomorrow).

Come and share your day's meals with me : )
Or, think I am a weirdo for asking such things? ; /

It's my birthday today so I had a really lazy day in bed reading my new book.
Got up at lunchtime and had 4 rich tea biscuits and two cups of tea.
My dh bought us both a takeaway for this evening.
I chose the takeaway and ordered. It was awful, looked like dog food. I can still bloody taste it.
Lots of water throughout the day.

wellitywellness · 16/02/2024 10:08

This was yesterday - less healthy than usual as out and about for the evening.

05:50: Options hot chocolate

08:00: Decaf coffee with milk

11:30: Coconut and edamame with Greek yogurt, kefir, mixed seeds, broccoli sprouts, mixed berries. Slurp of beetroot juice, apple cider vinegar, bite of turmeric root, spoonful of nutritional yeast and slice of nori.

14:30: Green tea

17:00: 1 x 0% Aperol spritzes

19:00: Bowl of noodles with spinach, egg, lamb and gyoza

21:30: Options hot chocolate

preggo39 · 16/02/2024 11:24

Yesterday...

One weetabix with milk, dark chocolate biscuit.
Wholemeal wrap with avocado, goats cheese and tomatoes. Handful of walnuts and Brazil nuts. Some dark chocolate.
Two dark chocolate biscuits. A mini twirl.
Lentil pasta with red pepper pesto and cheese, cucumber and lettuce salad.
A bit more chocolate.

That was a very chocolate heavy day...

BobbyBiscuits · 16/02/2024 12:21

@SittingontheSidelines Loving your salad. Halloumi, avo, eggs, tuna, all my faves. Maybe I'd chuck in an olive or a sundried tomato. I haven't had a proper decent salad since my DH has been in hospital. I'm too tired to make anything and have been eating McDonalds : (
Yesterday/day before had a lovely half a chicken with rice and garlic morning glory from the vietnamese which makes up for the maccas but I need salad in my life! : )

SittingontheSidelines · 16/02/2024 12:58

I agree, olives and sundries tomatoes would have been lovely. It was delicious and I had it again yesterday only had to substitute the haloumi and avacado with new potatoes and beetroot, still nice but not nearly as satisfying.
Sorry to hear about your husband, hope he's on the mend and you get your salad soon.

Dinner - chicken Provençal with new potatoes and green beans

SittingontheSidelines · 16/02/2024 22:55

I was trying to use up food from the freezer. I made a cottage pie with a bottom layer of savoury mince and veg, then a layer of frozen cooked veg (sprouts, broccoli, peas and carrots) then a bean sauce- butter beans, garlic, butter, stock, milk, puréed (just the garlic was from the freezer) frozen mash and cheddar cheese (also frozen when I'd been given a huge block). I enjoyed it (other members of the household were less enthusiastic)

Drinks were almond milk latte, black tea, mint tea and sparkling water.

BobbyBiscuits · 16/02/2024 23:51

@SittingontheSidelines You sound like the salad queen. I adore beetroot, esp raw and grated but I don't mind the vacuum packed ones.
Thanks for your kind words re my DH, it's been stressful but he should be able to come home tomorrow. To the house being a mess lol as I was too busy on MN looking at people's dinner, haha. : )
