Feeling poorly and haven't travelled for ages. Single mum with not a lot of money at the moment. I want to look wistfully and vicariously at beautiful parts of the country to inspire me back into full health and energy so I can maybe one day venture out again. Words about your life there welcome also.

i'm so glad i made this thread. it honestly brings me so much peace every time i look through the photos.

since creating it, my income has increased and i've been abroad (not very far, but still abroad) and i'm hoping to see more of the UK over the next year or two.

First time visiting the inside of the Castle on the Hill despite having lived in the area for a good few years now.

Amazing view !! I love london. Visited this week stayed in brick lane and did Highgate cemetery which I've wanted to vist for years I can absolutely see why you would want to live in the city . Glad our kids do so we have an excuse to visit regularly

Shropshire last week- a real hidden gem. Ludlow and surrounding areas was gorgeous, so many beautiful Tudor buildings and interesting walks.

Thought I'd share a pic of a little tiny church which had a carol service near me just now. I've just moved and it's my first time being able to get to it easily with my little one :)

This is the view from an inn overlooking the Hudson River in the Hudson Highlands area of New York. We had my daughter's wedding reception there last June.
