To ask you to show me your beautiful parts of the country

Feeling poorly and haven't travelled for ages. Single mum with not a lot of money at the moment. I want to look wistfully and vicariously at beautiful parts of the country to inspire me back into full health and energy so I can maybe one day venture out again. Words about your life there welcome also.

I live in the north east but not far from my home town of Buxton is this huge rock called the "winking man" because as you drive past, it looks like it's winking at you 😜

This is my everyday. I NEVER take it for granted. All is not as rosey as it could be because it's not mine. It's rented. I live in hope of winning the lottery. £300k would do !!

Snowdonia. On my walk 3 days ago .

Canal walk from Brecon to Pencelli last summer. Then coastal walk from Llantwit Major to St Donats. Brecon Beacons hiking. South 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 is lovely.

I'm definitely feeling better today - I'm sure it's this thread which is making it happen for me. I keep going to browse on instagram and then think - no way there's something way better happening over on mumsnet now. It's making me want to go EVERYWHERE! Next time I feel up to a walk, I'll have to share my own, also.

I agree about Wales. It's where I was born and I will go back one day soon.
The pictures are of Mid Wales where my dad still lives: Beautiful even in the rain.

Such a great thread! One of our regular dog walks, looking across the reservoirs near Rivington Pike in Lancashire. The park pic is another regular haunt.
