I woke up feeling nauseous and just made it to the bathroom where I had horrible stomach cramps , diarrhoea and then the urge to vomit. I had to throw up in the sink whilst on the toilet with that horrible cold-sweat thing and everything coming out of me from both ends. Totally fucking awful 😣

Rarewaxwing · 14/01/2024 01:10

Gallbladder attack. Very painful. I'm waiting to have my gallbladder out.

Rarewaxwing · 14/01/2024 01:19

@loobylou10 - I had frozen shoulder last year. It was sorted with hydrodilatation (also called hydrodistention), which is a saline/steroid injection. It unfroze my shoulder and relieved the pain. Ask your GP to refer you. Honestly, it was like a miracle!

LittleRedYarny · 14/01/2024 01:25

The sole of my left foot keeps cramping and it’s agony!

loobylou10 · 14/01/2024 09:57

@Rarewaxwing thanks - yes, that's what I've been referred for now. 6 weeks wait 😩. Did it hurt? How long relief did it give?

TheDogsMother · 14/01/2024 10:28

Thank you 🙏 @JMSA

See a podiatrist if you can. If you havent already.

Mine only got better after seeing a physiotherapist and getting some exercises to do daily.

Usual acid reflux issues - I’m doing all the right things, but it persists! Some days worse than others. Socialising is harder cos of dietary restrictions etc.
Other issues don’t bother me on a daily basis and am not gonna list them here, but my health is def not what it used to be and am waiting on a couple of referrals.

I’ve got a torn meniscus and am waiting for surgery next month, it’s very painful. Sat with foot resting and bored with doing little!

I’ve had this. Good news is the surgery worked!

Astrak · 14/01/2024 11:09

I've got myalgic encephalitis. It's a real bore because I can't carry on my busy life which included riding my lovely sharp Arabian horse (balance issues), walking miles every day, reading for hours. Now can't do the latter because I need to sleep so often.
My short term memory is shot, anxiety about losing vital things like phone, bum bag, car keys. I have obvious regular places for each of them but sometimes put them down before putting them in the correct place. My appetite has plummeted but I have to eat regularly as I have Type 2 diabetes. I can't remember what I have just said to someone with whom I am having a conversation.
Making "To Do" lists helps as long as I don't lose them.
Thank Heaven for being retired with a good final pension and the OAP pension. No way could I hold down the difficult and dangerous profession that I spent many decades doing.
On the bright side, I have a lovely affectionate indoor cat who is my furry hot water bottle during my time in bed. :)

HurdyGurdy19 · 14/01/2024 11:12

Rheumatoid arthritis. Having my "magic medicine" infusion next month, thank god, so symptoms should all but disappear.

And today I have a tooth that's broken in half, but both parts still attached to the gum. Throbbing, but not yet painful. Hoping I'll be able to get an emergency appointment at the dentist tomorrow

Goneforaride · 14/01/2024 11:29

Having a grim IBS flare-up. Tons to do, so trying to tough my way through the cramps, but might have to stop for a bit.

Asparagus1 · 14/01/2024 11:40

Blocked sinuses for like the 4th week 🙄

Michiru · 14/01/2024 11:49

My mental health is through the floor. My body just carries on regardless, though, so other than tired I am physically fine, and I cannot distinguish how much of the physical tiredness is actually mental tiredness.

Brilliant news! Were you in pain before surgery? I’ve almost been in pain for long enough to be in some sort of disbelief that I’ll be free of pain now! Glad to hear a positive outcome 😊

Paw2024 · 14/01/2024 12:13

Another day of endo. Feels like a bowling ball in my stomach

girlfriend44 · 14/01/2024 12:13

Looking forward to hopefully getting to the dentist tomorrow.

What do people do who can't get a dentist?

Good, I'm glad you're getting that. The radiologist did it very slowly, so it mostly felt odd/uncomfortable. However, I did find it painful - very briefly - at one point, and she offered to stop. I asked her to continue because I wanted the benefits and I'm so glad I did. Honestly, it's like a miracle! I walked in with an arm that I could barely lift and walked out with an arm I could raise above my head! And that awful pain had gone!

I haven’t needed to go back for any more treatment: basically, it got rid of the problem. My mobility is slightly reduced, compared to before (I can't twist my arm to one side as much as the other arm), but because it doesn't cause me any problems, I'm not bothered. I don't have any pain from it at all.

I had the injection about a year ago, so it's lasted well.

I hope you're soon pain free and mobile again.

Sitting in Urgent Treatment Centre waiting to be assessed for another UTI

Treated last October, but now bilateral flank pain and almost incontinent

Been here 2 hours already, brought a fresh urine sample, was told I'd waited too long, so it was destroyed and now have been waiting just as long with a fresh sample

@Gingernaut I'm in similar position. Had 3 days of antibiotics at start of last week which seemed to work but it's come back within days. Hope you feel better soon. Did they give you any AB's?

TheOriginalEmu · 14/01/2024 17:41

Phantom limb pain from my leg that isn’t there any more!
and the mother of all headaches from my cold my germy children have kindly gifted me.

Neolara · 14/01/2024 17:46

Sciatica nerve pain. I'm 8 months in and it's still sore enough to have to take pain killers every day.

Gingernaut · 14/01/2024 17:56

@dahliaaa 7 days of Ciprofloxin

ememem84 · 14/01/2024 17:57

Covid. Generally I’m ok. Except snotty and feel jet lagged

weegiemum · 14/01/2024 18:01

Lingering cough from the cold we've all had.

A long term neurological condition that makes me weak, numb, sore, off balance and in a wheelchair when I'm out of the house.

Breast cancer. Waiting for radiotherapy to start, just very glad it was caught early and I didn't need chemo. Check your breasts!!
