Much as I try to advice this kind of ‘news’ it is everywhere atm.

Anyone else reading this news and thinking if he wasn’t a footballer he’d just be a waste of space cock lodger?

I continue to be amazed at what women will tolerate for the sake of money or in the pursuit of fame.

Basically he fathered a child with another woman whilst being married. His wife stood by him. He publicly declared OW was nothing to him. He’s now admitted he’s the father of the OW’s second child. His wife has kicked him out but I wouldn’t be surprised if she takes him back and it seems the OW is doing the pick me dance.

I'd definitely raise my eyebrows at a woman who married a man who brought prostitutes into their home, got his knob out in public all over another woman and fathered a child with someone else, no matter what his profession. I get the logic behind her securing the money, but imagine if it was your friend - would you advise her to do that? If a poster on MN put all of that, would you encourage her to marry him?

Yes I would advise any woman to do it if she was a SAHM to 3 kids and unmarried.

You cared enough to open the thread and comment though! 🤷‍♀️

I am not a Man City fan (though who can help admiring their football?) but I do follow the England team. Remember when he improbably spared our blushes vs Ukraine last year? I thought this thread might be about football rather than this prurient rubbish.

Not sure if it’s fair to call Annie a gold digger. Surely when they first met they were two teenagers and he was just starting out, he probably didn’t earn the big bucks for years. At that stage, your career can go either way - even really good players don’t always get picked up by the big money clubs.

100% agree. It's judgey, bitchy and unempathetic.

No defence from me for whatever slurs anyone wants to throw at the kind of woman who aims to get pregnant by married men, though.

THAT I will forever judge!

Forgot to highlight the first paragraph, sorry.

If anyone has wondered what Kyle Walker would be if he wasn't a footballer the answer is a virgin. He is a fugly man. And Lauren Goodwin wouldn't have been interested in him if he hadn't been a footballer. They are both, in my opinion, horrible horrible people. I've known about Goodwin's thinly veiled taunts to Walker's wife on social media for a while, she seems deranged. The court papers make good reading, the judge got the measure of Goodwin and saw exactly what she was trying to do. Walker is nearing the end of his career. I really hope his wife walks away and takes as much as she can from him. His poor children.

Aubree17 · 14/01/2024 20:07

I hope she has the strength to leave him. Such a beautiful woman shouldn't have to put up with his disgusting behaviour.

Do you have a link to the court papers?

InAMess2023 · 14/01/2024 20:09

@GeckoEcho funnily enough no I don't remember that since watching England is like watching paint dry. However, it's disgusting when his type are meant to be what young men look up to as role models. Morals of an alley cat (and I'm a cat lover so that's harsh to cats) yet gets to captain his club and country

I can remember at least one thread where posters recommended the OP proceed with a planned wedding even though she doubts/suspicions, because the OP had a few kids to him.

In Annie’s shoes (cheater with form, few kids, but I still love him innit so give him one last chance) I would have done the same thing. I can’t comment on his spending habits now and how canny he’s been with the money he’s made to date, but he’s coming to the end of his playing career. His earning potential will nosedive before any of their children reach 18. I would want to be in a position where if there was a split a (downward) variation in child support 6, 7, 8 years down the line wouldn’t be the end of the world or signal massive changes for the kids, because we’d been adequately provided for at the end of the marriage.

MajorMorgan · 14/01/2024 21:02

I had seen recent news stories about these people, quite confused as I hadn't heard of any of them. I didn't know he was a footballer. I assumed they were off love island or something.

He is absolutely fugly
And what a vile POS. Some woman he shagged baiting and taunting 'his childhood sweetheart' and mother of his children. He doesn't want anything to do with the subsequent child but doesn't mind shagging her again and getting her pregnant? As if he hasnt himiliated his wife enough? I hope his wife does take him for half, then at least she can spend it on herself, and he will have to be stuck with his side piece demanding more and more of his dwindling income. Good move marrying him. Hope she takes him to the cleaners.

I woke up at 4:30am this morning and couldn't get back to sleep, so I read the court papers. Wow is all I could think when reading it! Some of her demands were laughable!!! Even the judges opinion on her speaks volume!

@QueenOfTheKing that's what I thought too!

NashvilleQueen · 15/01/2024 10:37

Given the marriage was fairly recent I wonder if there's a prenup

Secondtonaan · 15/01/2024 10:38

Had a brief look through those court papers - oh my goodness her expectations are crazy!

The thing I find odd is how they had another child together? There's no love lost between them and he doesn't see his first child with her. Surely he wouldn't go back there again?!

whatsitcalledwhen · 15/01/2024 10:44

@Beezknees

I get the logic behind her securing the money, but imagine if it was your friend - would you advise her to do that? If a poster on MN put all of that, would you encourage her to marry him?

If she had multiple children by him already then yes, to be honest.

They now have a secure future and she doesn't have to worry about anything financial for them on top of already almost certainly being their primary carer forever.

They are guaranteed to get excellent schooling, able to go to university, will be set up to own property etc.

Yes, he probably would have paid for all that anyway but I'm sure when they got together she didn't think he would be shagging prostitutes in their home during a pandemic and getting his dick out in bars, so it's fair enough she's not operating on blind faith in him.

PinkEasterbunny · 15/01/2024 11:05

So LG has secured generous maintenance payments. I know this comes up time and time again in real life, but what happens if KW's circumstances change? If he breaks a leg tomorrow, obviously there is an expectation he will continue to support the children from his marriage, but if the payments to LG suddenly become unaffordable, what happens then?

I know we often read threads about rich Dad becoming poor Dad, and the high maintenance payments are set in stone?

LadyBird1973 · 15/01/2024 11:11

I don't think it can really be set in stone - if he went bankrupt tomorrow, he can't give her what he doesn't have.
I think in cases where payment is made as watertight as possible, it might be because the man is one of the super rich who can hide assets abroad.

If they become unaffordable then he'd have to go back to court for a variation.

In terms of maintenance he'd be expected to support the two children with LG in the same way as the children from his marriage.

If he's not in a relationship with either mother then his available income would be assessed and the amount of maintenance money available would be split between the two mothers. In the same way it would be with a bin man or lawyer.

She's said he has been seeing both the children.

@usernother she can hardly be seen as credible though can she when there's all the other things that were lies...

waterrat · 15/01/2024 12:19

There is a piece in the Sun from the first time he cheated on Annie - where she gives her side of the story and I found it absolutely heartbreaking to read - and Im not a person usually interested in celeb gossip!!

This was her childhood boyfriend/ the only man she has ever had a relationship with - she says he lies constantly and she feels under huge emotional pressure to take him back beacuse she belives in long term relationships - she talks about her own childhood how that impacts her belief in commitment - she says she has had the worst pain of her life learning of his affair and the child - all of this was written before he went and had another baby.

I feel incredibly sorry for her - as others have said - she is just an ordinary woman with an abusive nasty husband who is too thick to see what's good for him. Countless women come on mumsnet and describe similar controlling and horrible relationships.

From her view of events - it's clear she took him back because she sadly is in love with him - I know plenty of women who love wrong un's she isn't the first won't be the last. Very hard when you are 30 and have never had another relationship and the man is begging for your forgiveness.

the lauren women is truly vile - you don't often see someone that openly nasty. She went out deliberately to snare him and have his babies as designer accessories and he is a grade a twat.

I hope Annie has therapy and moves on with her life without him.

Yes, you're right. I really don't believe she wouldn't have taken photos for evidence, and shown those photos if true.
