To ask what helps you with your rosacea?

I am struggling with rosacea at the moment- mainly flushing and redness that flares up with exercise and some under-the skin fluid filled bumps across my cheeks and nose that look like spots but aren't if that makes sense!

The NHS/ GP appointments being what they are right now I don't want to use up valuable time on a skin complaint when very ill people can't get help right now.

Are there any products that have helped you manage the flushing and any raised bumps/ sore patches? I'm looking at various OTC creams but don't want to waste money or make it 1000x worse!

TIA!

It's turns out I suffered with rosacea for 30 years as all the acne treatments did not work! I did try Rozex from the GP but I didn't like the texture.
I have/had the redness and pustules rosacea and since using Dermatica it had cured it. My prescription is Ivermectin 1%/ Metronidazole 0.75%/ Niacinamide 4% which has the Soolantra mentioned. I have been using it for 2 years and my skin is completely normal now. I still use the treatment every few nights to keep on top of it. You can try it for £2.90, plus £10 off your next month.

Soolantra cured my rosacea completely. I noticed the other day that you can get it on private prescription using the Boots online service.

I’ve had it for over 15 yrs and feel like I’ve tried everything. Was on lymecycline for 10 yrs but ended up stopping them due to constant thrush. I didn’t feel like they worked that well anyway but was so terrified of how bad it could potentially be without them. For ref I have the redness and pin prick fluid filled things mainly on my cheeks.
On a whim I tried old fashioned Astral moisturiser cream before bed and when I woke up it was miraculous- the redness had massively reduced but best of all the sandpaper texture of my skin was gone. My skin felt like actual skin! I’ve since used it morning and night and the improvement is staggering. After trying so many lotions and potions, moisturisers and meds, this cheap and very basic cream has worked wonders.
Its witchcraft.
I really feel for everyone that suffers with rosacea - it feels like a never ending miserable quest to find a cure, but keep trying and eventually you may just find ‘the one’ - good luck.

Soolantra was the game changer for me. Caroline Hirons website, book and fb freaks group all also great.
