Right, here me out! I'm not crazy. For the last 2.5 years since moving to this house. There is something in my loft. Every night it fumbles about. Taps like aa nut or something above my head . I can here rustling of whatever its going through!

We have been to investigate many many many times!! No droppings! We have put down all manner of traps and things to tempt whatever it is. Nothing!!

I know the previous tenants and they said its been doing it for a few years too. There are no holes we can locate for it to get in and out. Previous tenants have said the same!

What could it be!? And to survive at least 5 years!!!!

It freaks me out ever night!

Not really an AIBU. But is it time to move!!?? 🤣

This reminds me of an episode of the podcast 'Criminal'.

Episode 71 - Bump in the night.

Go have a listen Grin

Oh crumbs. Well I told the landlord and he doesn't reply. We have dine traps etc and nothing ever materialises! They have lived here longer than me now! Previous tenant said the same thing. They tried everything and couldn't find it. I will keep pestering the landlord

My bedroom in my childhood home had a dormer window and most nights there would be various wildlife dancing around on the roof.

Night time tapping? My bet would be dormouse aka gliss.

Well whoever it is. They are having a jolly good time every night. Sounds like a mini playground. It's definitley the loft and not the roof. The roof is quite a height away from the loft floor

I'd say squirrel too, we had them and they built a nest up there
