Sacked for using 'N' word

I don't know how to copy link sorry but has anyone been following the story of the Lloyd's bank manager who was sacked for asking a relevant question in a so called anti racism training session by his employers but in his question he used the full 'N' word.
His question I believe was how would he be expected to deal with black employees or customers speaking to each other using that word.
The trainer was so offended by the word, she had to take 5 days off work. However, he got sacked.
He has since been awarded £500,00 but no apology from Lloyd's and no job back.
As far as we know, the ridiculous incompetent trainer is still employed.

I am close to this story but afraid to say how.
But will say that I'm losing sleep and furious more and more at this bank.

He has a disability - yes dyslexia is a disability. The trainer was disablist and dishonest for destroying his career over an honest mistake.

Perhaps you should read the judgement before you comment. The trainer had nothing to do with the decision to sack him and was not found to have discriminated against him. That was all on Lloyd's.

The guy said he'd never heard the term n-word before. Forgive me if I don't believe a word he says.

I do not use the word because I know it causes offence and because I have no need to. But let's be clear here. It is GINGER in a different order. There is nothing inherently evil about those letters in a particular order. The offence comes from the way it is used, not from it's existence.

I genuinely despair for society if it is so fragile that it can't handle a word being used in the context of a discussion about the evils of the word. The idea that a word can literally be "mate" or "bro" to one person yet beyond the pale for his best mate to say is just BATSHIT.

Whilst understanding that reclaiming a word has it's place no good can come from the times that society decides to treat people of different races differently.

@Russelljack01. To be clear, I was actually commenting on and making reference to some of the comments earlier up on the thread that were making that assumption. I have also heard it elsewhere. I am not being ridiculous at all for clarification, it was not an assumption.

Ridiculous to sack him. It was clearly meant to be taken in context, he wasn’t calling anyone a derogatory term.
