It’s overcast where we are, little bit of sun trying to get through, tired but don’t want to sit in all day with Dd climbing the walls. Pre Dd, I’d probably lie on the sofa watching films 😂
Nowhere is really open, might take the dog somewhere in the car to somewhere different, lots of hills, grass etc

I need to go into the loft for the cold weather gear I need to go away this week.

Making a chilli for dinner. Laundry. Might load up the cardboard to take to the dump en route to a hospital appointment tomorrow.

Nothing exciting really, continuing the theme of the season for me - relaxing.

Feeling like I am starting the flu. Have an injury so can’t go on traditional hike with friends and family. But expecting 15 back for a meal later. Have just burnt a dessert. Kitchen is a tip. First world problems.

Driving home across Pennines (well DH is driving) after weekend away. Will do washing, Tesco online shop and then watch some rubbish tv once we get home. No doubt the cats will all come and complain loudly at having been left again!

I had a long lie in and now on the sofa with a cuppa. Going to put the Christmas decorations away this afternoon. The house is clean and tidy as I have spent the last couple of days sorting and cleaning. Just need to tidy up the kitchen as we had friends over last night and the last bits need sorting. DH has dealt with most of it though!

Dog walk later, although he's not looking very keen, he was super-excited to have visitors yesterday and is worn out today!

I'm back to work tomorrow so might paint my nails this evening. We'll watch the darts later too.

Washing , taking the decs down - getting house sorted back to work tomorrow.

Everyone up late after staying up to see the new year in, kids have only just got dressed etc! I’ve just made everyone breakfast wraps and put a Thai curry in the slow cooker for dinner later and we’re planning on dragging the kids into the garden to help clear away leaves which they will moan about 😂 Then it’ll be a run (for us) and bike ride (the kids) to our local park before back for baths, dinner & my husband getting ready to return to work tomo (I’m back Wed) 😭

I've got my DS and a couple of other guests coming over to join me, foster son and dh for roast turkey and lamb, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, mash potatoes, carrots, peas, Yorkshire puddings, sausage meat stuffing, mint sauce and wine gravy. DS is bringing over homemade lemon cheesecake my favourite. We're not eating until 6 though.

Mainlining black coffee to try and stay awake after NYE fireworks woke up the 7yo who is ill and couldn't get back to sleep. Then after the fireworks we had what sounded like a hurricane for a couple of hours so coupled with sharing a bed with a feverish 7yo didn't have much sleep.

Dbro and his GF are due to pop in at some point to drop off my Christmas present but he landed this on me last minute and as they're travelling about an hour to get here they'll need refreshment of some sort. GF is vegan and the only vegan food I've got in is ice cream. Argh.

DH and 2 x DSs are doing weights in the living room to the soundtrack of Rocky on loop.

I want to go back to bed!!!!!

Pizza for dinner then I'm having an extra long hot bath later. Just got to make it until then........

I've taken down all the decs, properly cleaned, tidied and refreshed the lounge (right down to flipping sofa cushions).

I'm having lunch then going to do the bathrooms, and kitchen.

It was lovely and sunny this morning so Dh and I went for a big walk along the canal whilst the teens slept.
Back for bacon and egg sandwiches and coffee.
This afternoon we're lighting the fire and I'm going to start my Christmas jigsaw. Turkey pie for dinner and an early night!

Been for a big dog walk now preparing lunch for six . My grandkids were away for Christmas so we're having Christmas Day today . Complete with crackers and trifle . Really not feeling doing it all over again.

Finishing the remaining food that won't keep! A walk this afternoon and then admin time for me and DH as we're both self employed.

So far today I have sat on the sofa in my pjs drinking copious amounts of tea and staring at the plastic boxes on the living room rug that are half packed with Christmas decorations.

The plan for this afternoon is to take the rest of the decorations down and clean the house then put the trampoline up that we bought for dd9 for Christmas as it’s a nice day outside and not too cold.

I also need to make a lasagne for tea at some point.

Laying about in my pjs (new from Christmas and I love them) drinking coffee. We’ll take the dog out later and I’m going to help my overwhelmed teen sort her room.

I will also stop eating everything in sight and use January to actually get back to who I was 18 months ago before my world changed.

Currently in a bubble bath, ds is playing fortnite, dh is with the puppy downstairs. I plan on going to asda soon to pick up a few bits to make a Sunday roast. Then an early night for me

I am sorting my daughters bedroom out. Her Christmas gifts are still taking up the whole living room. Need to rearrange her room to fit them in there.

I am contemplating booking a few nights away from tomorrow. We aren't back to school/work until the 8th. This week feels very long already.

Cooking a lamb roast and all the trimmings. Get all my washing done and packed away. Need to write a list of all the things I need to do tomorrow and Wednesday before we go on holiday Thursday. Kids are playing with their toys and being good and getting on.

Resting on the couch with a massive hangover. Will order a takeaway later and start life again tomorrow.

Done the traditional family New Year's Day walk at 9.15am, back home 11am to make lunch and steak pie for tea🎉

We had a rare lie in, I cooked us all a fry up for brunch and haven’t yet got dressed. DH has just made me a latte with his new coffee gadget and our eldest and her BF are watching movies upstairs. I’ve booked bowling for us later so we can try and make the last day before work last a bit longer.

Lazy day here .

Ah, we normally have a new year's day walk, we go and feed the ducks and swans. Didn't get up until lunchtime today and have hurt my back anyway. :( Hope you had a lovely walk!
