I feel so down tonight

Just that really. I’m struggling a lot with nostalgia, have been for the past year.

Feel sad that Xmas is over. Feel sad that it’s not 2016. Feel sad that it’s not 1999.

Anyone else or am I just going mad?!

This is a bit like saying you mustn’t be annoyed when you step in dog-shit because at least you didn’t break your leg.

There are many levels of feeling. Most of us have the emotional and intellectual bandwidth to (eg) feel a bit sad at New Year, while simultaneously being aware that it is not as sad as having terminal cancer. Maybe you don’t have the capacity to process or understand sadness at its many different levels, but other people do, so pipe down.

How are you all doing today?
I still feel really down. Not so much nostalgic but I’m wishing it was October again and I could enjoy the season all over again 😞
