To pee in the night

Staying at the inlaws and I'm excruciatingly embarrassed to pee during the night. The bathroom is right next to their room, on the other side of where their bed is. I don't want to wake anyone up. Shall I pee downstairs and also risk waking people and have them wondering what the hell I'm doing down there at 1am?

This is absolutely foul.

Why? It’s rinsed out afterwards.

I think you women would be suprised to learn how many men use the sink. Not all obviously, but it’s fairly common.

Especially if a middle of the night or early morning wee coincides with one of natures other male night time or morning afflictions.

I couldn’t care less if my guests used the loo in the night but I’d be disgusted if they peed in my sink.

Just use the loo. Everyone does.

I don’t doubt there are men who pee in the sink. However I can’t imagine someone who is really worried about making a peeing noise at night but not worried about peeing in someone else’s sink 🤷‍♀️

Well. It’s significantly quieter unless you turn the tap on full whack.

Fact remains it’s a luxury option men have in this scenario that women don’t (unless they are very tall and very agile)

I get that it’s quieter. I meant that if someone is considerate and polite enough to worry about making too much noise by peeing in the loo, surely they also are the type of person who wouldn’t dream of peeing in someone else’s sink?

Legend has it that Marilyn Monroe turned on the faucet to disguise her urine flow when she was visiting her future mother in law ( Arthur Miller's mother). Miller's mother said afterwards to the playwright 'She's a lovely girl Arthur but she pisses like a horse!'

Anyone who woke me up in the night flushing the toilet would get very short shrift. DGS does, there's a nightlight,he doesn't need to put lights on,close door, flush. Just do what you need to, and creep back to bed!
