Going out for lunch on Christmas Day!

Driving to a hotel that is tailored for dogs. Special Christmas menu for me and my dog.

Going back to 2019, when there was no Covid?

Making no plans to see any family over Christmas as one of us is always ill so we have to cancel or rearrange. I don’t want the stress of it any more.

Cooking casserole or chilli, buying pate and Brie, mince pies and Yule log and that’s it! and cutting right down in presents….

Turning 60 - eek!

And hopefully changing jobs, preferably to part-time.

Not paying rent ever again 🥂🕺🎉 Completed buying first house, and looking forward to making it my own. Overflowing with ideas on how to style it, with no-one else to negotiate with 🙏

Anyway today was the final point for me

Going to resume my hobby of swimming in the mornings before work! I’ve stopped these last couple of weeks as things have been hectic and I’ve noticed I’ve been a bit more narky than usual so it’s a priority for the new year.
Other than that I hope I have an altogether happier year, it’s been really tough and I’ve struggled (I know why, there’s a valid reason for it but knowing the cause of my struggles hasn’t made it easier!).

Getting back into employment after 10 years as a SAHM so I can get some independence back and try and gain the courage to leave my partner.

Buying my Christmas crackers and table wares in July. Couldn't find diddly sqaut earlier.

You won't regret it, if you can find the money. I'm doing it for the second time this year, the last time was a few years ago. For years, I wasn't loving the cost when it came up as an idea, but I liked it more than I expected

Currently in a beach front cottage in Cumbria somewhere between two places nobodies ever heard of. Wondered into a small village today, ate lunch, wondered back, bottle of champagne and M&S lasagne.

Highly begrudged because the home owner has put a fucking Christmas tree in the dining room but there isn’t a present in sight.

I completely couldn’t be arsed and skipped out of Christmas completely.

Tomorrow I will wonder on the beach before making myself scrambled egg and more champagne.

DH is secretly enjoying himself even though he claims not to be. Best Christmas ever!

Giving everyone a gift voucher for Christmas (or at the very least, wrapping as I go rather than leaving it to Christmas Eve).

Not going to be working back to back shifts.

Buying gift bags so I don't have to wrap. So fed up of wrapping!

Getting food and drink gifts for adults, instead of walking round and round town for hours or browsing the net looking for inspiration. I have a big family and it's ridiculously time consuming.

Maybe go abroad for Christmas - actually that would be amazing 🤩

Going to be more organised and start planning for xmas earlier... and not be wrapping presents at midnight... maybe

Not leaving wrapping till the last week.

I finished work on Wednesday lunchtime thinking it's fine I can do a bit each day however the days have been busier than anticipated and I ended doing it all on Friday night and it took me until midnight. I was grumpy and fed up by then.
Next year I will plan it better.

Next year I am shopping earlier and more methodically

Recovering from surgery I had 2 days ago. Im completely out of action shuffling around in a nightie and compression stockings. partner doesn’t have a driving license so it’s been the perfect excuse to opt out of all the social obligations and completely focus on healing. It does really suck not being able to get physically comfortable for more than an hour or be hugged though.
