Surely no right minded person thinks that jokes about drugging someone, particularly someone you are meant to love and protect are ever ok?

It wasn’t the best joke, to joke he puts a tiny bit of Rohypnol in his wife’s drink just enough so she doesn’t go for a ‘better man,’ at an event about fighting drink spiking. I do think the level of criticism- being condemned in multiple top publications all at once- is OTT. White ministers get away with these sorts of comments with far less critical media exposure.

These comments are in very poor taste to say the least! Whatever was he thinking of? Way too many women/girls /young men have their drinks spiked to very poor outcomes each year. I think this is unacceptable behaviour and so should his wife !

For me, it's not so much the totally shit joke, it's more that he is in such a prominent position but has such poor judgement.
