This is disgusting, selfish and downright thievery which takes away the enjoyment of others.

Hope this guy gets caught, convicted and locked up.

Really want Banksy to continue doing this sort of art installations but fgs can't it just be left for others to admire?

They always have been, but they are not common.

I don't think someone taking it is any worse than someone defacing the sign in the first place. I wish people would leave traffic signs alone especially ones that are there for safety - presumably there's a "stop" sign there because it's needed.

Exactly. Why aren’t people angry at the crime of defacing a Stop sign?

I’m guessing because the graffiti was done by a rich, public school educated man.

That guy took it to make a profit. Banksy leaves his art for others to enjoy (or not, depending on your view).

It says a lot about modern society when someone can vandalise a road sign and it’s bad but suddenly it’s okay if it’s a celebrity who did it.

Come on people - the stealing of the art is the art. Like the shredder. As a PP has pointed out, the road name is relevant.
