Just discovered 'Ghosts' - is Robin and the Space Station the funniest clip ever in the whole wide world.....???

Honestly! DD15 and I discovered Ghosts a few weeks ago and have been watching whenever we can. Not sure what series we're on but we've seen two Christmases so maybe series three?

Anyway - it really is one of the funniest series I have seen for decades (having been brought up on Blackadder and Red Dwarf the bar was high, plus my kids don't always appreciate the older stuff....).

Just seen one where something happens to make them all stare into the sky to remember lost loved ones. I won't spoil it but anyone who has seen it will know which episode I mean. I can't find the clip on Youtube - if anyone can add a link that would be great!! I cried with laughter - but it's poignant and hilarious too......

I really must get the Yonserland DVDs.

I've been trying to for a couple of years (we haven't seen it) but the first series is rarer than rocking horse poo.

Also try Yonderland, although maybe not with primary age kids unless you watch first! Highlights from Horrible Histories Mat Baynton's Highwayman and Charles 11 , the Battle of Britain pilots, the Georges song, Vikings "Literally" ...

The Battle of Britain is probably my favourite thing ever, I'm named after a Polish pilot who died in the Battle of Britain so the reference to the Poles makes me love it.

'Bum and chips' is a freezer tea night at our house, and we often randomly shout out 'cups!' at each other if we've forgotten something.

We love Ghosts. Looking forward to the last one on Christmas Day. Long may it live on on iPlayer!

I am enjoying the American version even more. But mostly because I love every scene with Jay in it. The American one is quite creative also, the pilot is an abbreviated clone but after that the USA one finds its own way very much.

Panto is my favourite episode on British version (so far).

Worth noting that Simon Farnaby (Julian) Co-wrote “Wonka” so I imagine a lot of the humour will be similar.

I love Robin’s parsing of Thomas’s steamy novel. ‘And then they…do it 😏’

The Captain in his absolute element as a wedding planner.

Pat getting lustful over food. ‘Dip it again…’ and ‘’He has! He’s put an egg on it!’

Pat’s joy at his baby grandson - ‘He’s got my legs!’

Fanny’s affair with Humphrey’s torso, when his head keeps having an orgasm. ‘That’s been happening all day!’

It’s my favourite series ever, and total comfort viewing.

Bought my husband a T-shirt for Christmas that has a picture of Pat on it and “I’m from Yorkshire mate, I’m practically made of tea” written on 😁

Ghosts is our favourite family show (12 and 8 yo DC). Couldn’t watch the American one together because it’s a too much smutty humour. The British version is perfect.

Someone’s mentioned it already but Robin’s “no Zumba? But I wanted to work on my core” makes me howl with laughter every time.

An absolutely fantastic show, in our house we regularly say 'bum and chips' if asking what the other wound like for dinner. Hopelessly in love with the Captain. Roll of the Christmas special, although I suspect there will be tears from me. I watched the US version, and quite enjoyed it too.

I started watching it on my own during a very worrying time health wise and needed something to get me through the hell of colonoscopy bowel prep.
I watched the first 5 episodes and then immediately rewatched them with DH because I knew he’d love it as well. We got through the every series in one weekend (in between trips to the loo 😖)
We are MASSIVE fans and love spotting them all in everything else they appear in. Such an incredibly clever and talented group of people.
Still not over Mary getting sucked off though. I cried my eyes out. She’s my fave.

I love that Simon Farnaby was the one to be present when they found King Richard III in the car park. So the story goes, the Channel 4 execs thought the whole thing was a wild goose chase so didn’t want to implicate the Time Team/Tony Robinson brand with it, so they got SF to present the documentary instead! We all know what happened next!

He’s also fab in his small role in Detectorists!
